"Zhuangzi Qiushui" cloud: "Summer insects can not speak of ice", a metaphor for people who are limited to what they see and hear, and their knowledge is short-sighted. However, in the view of young animation director Tang Baihua, even if people have limitations, they must strive to seek knowledge and get close to the truth. As a result, the "summer worm" in "Zhuangzi" in his work "Summer Worm Country" became a person who dared to look for ice and snow.

"Summer Worm Country" tells the story of the summer worm country people who are born in spring and die in autumn and do not know whether there is winter, and embark on a long journey in search of ice and snow that they have never seen before. Since the inspiration for this animation is derived from ancient murals, Tang Baihua's team has repeatedly traveled to ancient buildings such as Dunhuang and Yongle Palace, copying murals and grotto works, and using plaster as a painting material to try to present the original "Dunhuang flavor".

In the process of creation, Tang Baihua's team first drew the first draft with a pencil, then traced it on the plasterboard, then colored it with traditional mineral raw materials, and finally scanned it into the computer. Even if you depict waves in just a few seconds, you have to draw at least 70 drawings. It took them two years and a total of 20 tons of plasterboard to create the 17-minute animation.

Although the animation has been shortlisted for many international awards such as the Edinburgh International Film Festival, the Polish International Animation Film Festival, and the São Paulo International Short Film Festival, it has never been released on domestic universities and television stations. The creation of Tang Baihua and his team did not stop there, they stayed in Dunhuang for 9 months, using the mud of Dunhuang Dasha Spring and the five-colored sand of Mingsha Mountain, through the ancient configuration of "three sands, six soils and one ash", to create 2,000 mud plates, and produced a 7-minute animation - "Mo Gao Xiaguang".

Beihai Ruoyue: The well frog cannot speak to the sea, and is confined to the void; Summer worms can not speak to the ice, but to the time; Qu shi should not speak to the Taoists, but to the teachings.
The Chinese Choir: Mo Gao Xiaguang
During the Tang Dynasty, the 28-year-old Xuanzang set out from Chang'an in search of the truth of his faith, traveled all the way west, out of Yumen Pass in the west, and came to Mohe Yan moraine. Eight hundred miles of Mohe yan moraine, no birds on the top, no beasts on the bottom, the wind and sand cover the sun, only the dry bones indicate the way. Halfway drinking water accidentally lost, Xuanzang four days and five nights dripping water did not enter, but with an incomparably tenacious will, to overcome the fear in his heart, beyond the limits of the body, and finally out of mohe Yan Moraine
