Interview frustrated by unexplained dismissal former Dolphins coach sued the NFL for racial discrimination

Former Dolphins coach Brian Flores, who has just lost his job, sued three NFL teams for racial discrimination — the Dolphins, Broncos and Giants — and he filed a 58-page lawsuit in federal court in Manhattan on Tuesday.

Regarding the Dolphins' lawsuit, Flores said that in 2019, shortly after being hired, the team's owner Stephen Rose gave Flores a "loss prize", according to Flores, he received a $100,000 prize for every game he let the Dolphins lose. Flores did not do so, and as the Dolphins won two consecutive games at the end of the season, the Dolphins' general manager Chris Greer told Flores that the boss Rose was almost "crazy" and flores' behavior made the team's draft pick lower.

In season 20, the Dolphins' record was 10 wins and 6 losses, compared to 9 wins and 8 losses last season, and although the Dolphins with the reconstruction period achieved a positive record for two consecutive years - this is the first time since 2003, black coach Flores still can't escape the fate of being sacked.

The Giants' allegations were mainly in the recent managerial interview, where flores was called in last month when the Giants interviewed several of their new managerial candidates, subject to the Rooney Rule, which required at least one minority of the Giants' candidates.

After confirming the new manager, Joe Sean, the Giants set the date of Flores' interview, after which Flores received a text message from his old superior, Bill Bilicek, congratulating Flores on becoming the giants' new manager, from Buffalo and the New York media. Flores felt strange, after all, he had nothing to do with Buffalo, and he confirmed to Billy Cecek if he had sent the wrong text message, whether the text message should have been sent to Brian Dabor, Billy Cheekek said yes.

The Mustangs' allegations are earlier, Flores said, and in 2019, when he was interviewing for the Mustang manager, the team's general manager John Elvie was an hour late and looked like he must have been drunk and in a state of hangover.

All three teams responded to Flores's allegations, with the Giants saying their interview process was very diverse and that until the last minute, Flores was still on the team's discussion list, while the Dolphins simply denied Flores' allegations. Bronco pulled out the information on the interview with Flores that year, saying that the interview began at 7:30 a.m. on January 5, 2015, lasted for 3.5 hours, and was conducted by five executives.

In the allegations, Flores aims to increase the influence of blacks in the recruitment process, increase the number of black general managers, managers and coordinators, and strengthen treatment. The league said Flores' allegations were nonsense and that the league had been doing a good job of pursuing racial equality.
