Black Monday was as powerful as ever, with the Broncos, Vikings, Bears and Dolphins all opting to fire the manager.
Add to that the Jaguars and Raiders who fired the manager in mid-season, and the Texans who just moved their knives today, and at least seven teams have had to look for a manager again. Let's dive into which coaches will be the best candidates for a new manager.
He is currently an NFL teaching assistant
Karen Moore, Cowboy OC
Since Moore took over as Cowboy OC in 2019, he has been in the spotlight of coaching circles. In 19 years, the Cowboys attacked the third place in the EPA league, and in 20 years, Prescott was injured and ignored, and the Cowboys' offensive EPA came to seventh this season.
The task of the quarterback in Moore's offense was not easy, and a large number of pure passing combinations required the quarterback to observe the defense for a long time and find the shortcomings of the defense. That's not to say his offense can only be done by elite quarterbacks.
Moore's next home may take some time to reach the level of cowboy pass offense, but for a team with potential quarterbacks, such as the Jaguars or The Bears, it seems like a promising option.
Dan Quinn, Cowboy DC
The Cowboys did have some bad luck this season, but it's undeniable that the Cowboys defense has improved a lot under Dan Quinn's tutelage.
The coach, who coached the Falcons for many years, finished 27th and 20th in the league last season with a PFF defense score and a pass defense EPA, respectively, and came straight to eighth and second after coaching the Cowboys this season.
The way he uses rookie Micah Parsons is simply exceptional. Quinn's defensive plan was influenced by Gus Bradley's Cover 3 defense under the Seahawks, but more aggressive, with more staring, raids and twisting pass routines. Quinn was criticized for coaching the Falcons, not only directing the biggest crash in Super Bowl history, but also steadily declining defensively, and I don't know if he will be afraid to take up the coach's whip again.
Eric Bienimi, Chief OC
Last offseason, Bienimi's failure to become the manager of a team left the industry with a sigh of relief, with Andy Reed and Terrick Hill both calling for the senior OC.
While the Chiefs have had ups and downs this season, it's the offense that drives them into the playoffs. Bienimi's offensive efficiency as chief in the OC's four years has remained in the league's top five. While it was Safe and Fat who called out offensive tactics to the Chief, Bienimi could take Reid's coaching ideas anywhere.
Byron Leftevich, Pirate OC
The Jaguars were selected as quarterbacks in the first round in 2003 and now want to support his old club.
Like Karen Moore, Raftewicz will bring trevor Lawrence an offense that is difficult to control, as his offense requires a lot of trust and communication between quarterbacks and receivers. This problem has been around since the beginning of its cooperation with Brady, but in the long run, Brady has become indestructible in overcoming the problem. This season, Leftevic and Arians have integrated more short-distance coordination. Brady's average pass depth dropped by 1.4 yards, but his number of yards per pass was barely reduced.
Todd Bowles, Pirate DC
Bowers loves to bring passion to defense, and this season's Pirates defense team used a staggering 43% of raids, the league's second highest.
Injuries and the pandemic have stretched his arsenal, but Bowers left the Pirates defensive EPA in the league's top five. The experience of coaching jets from 15 to 18 years has left many unpleasant memories, but mainly the negative impact of poor offensive efforts. However, the positive score rate of the Jets defense in these four years is still the fifth in the same period.
Josh McDaniels, Patriot OC
As far as coaching rookie quarterbacks, no one is better this season than McDaniels. The gold medal assistant coach on Belicek's side and the first round of the show joined forces to let the Patriots pass EPA 0.11, a positive score rate of 51%, ranking eleventh and sixth in the league in both stats.
The Patriots' success was largely due to the rookie's unprecedented observation of defense, timing, passing accuracy and a calm style of play, but Dan the Pigeon also had his credit. Over the past three years, the Patriots have replaced three different starting quarterbacks, and he has designed the offense according to the different technical characteristics of the quarterbacks, and the Patriots' offensive EPA has remained positive in the past three years.

Jerrod Mayo, Patriots linebacker coach
Mayo may be the next disciple in be the Pelicek coaching tree to become the manager. Mayo was the No. 10 picked by the Patriots in 2008 and served as an eight-year linebacker for the Patriots. This season he called defense for the Patriots, team defense third in the EPA league, and the PFF rating of the linebacker group he adjusted also ranked in the top five of the league.
Brian Dabor, Bill OC
Bill and Josh Allen progressed unusually quickly under Darbor's tutelage. Beal is now playing a purely dispersed offense and incorporating some RPO. This change, combined with Allen's unique technical characteristics, helped Beal build the league's most successful passing offense. In the two seasons since last season, their positive score rate of 54.3% is the highest in the league.
Leslie Fraser, Bill DC
A member of the immortal 1985 Bears as a player, Fraser was a fixture in the market after five years as Bill DC and vice-manager, and now he is a favourite in the coaching market. In 2017, he had just coached Beal's initial defensive pass EPA ranking 12th in the league, and this season even if the star cornerback Trevius White midway report, Beal is still the top of the anti-pass EPA league.
Nathanier Hackett, Packer OC
Hackett was loved by Aaron Rogers, who praised Hackett as "different" and "infectious". Raheem Morris, Rams DC
The Rams under Brandon Starley finished the league's first defense last season, and it's hard to take over his class. Before Morris took over, he almost became Jaguars manager before Urban-Meyer. The outstanding performance of coaching the Rams this season has allowed Morris to enter the coaching radar of multiple teams again. Brian Flores, former Dolphins coach
Flores coached the Dolphins defensively for three years and continued to improve step by step. The 19-year defensive EPA is only the penultimate, reaching the top ten in the league last season and this season. However, due to OC turnover, poor passing protection and mediocre quarterback performance, the poor performance of the offense caused Flores to accidentally lose the coaching position. Maybe he still has room to improve, but Flores should soon be able to get another chance to prove himself in the managerial position.
Doug Pedersen, former Hawks coach
After a year off, Pederson could return to the NFL to take over the Jaguars. After three years as chief OC, Pederson served as Eagles coach from 16 to 20 years, and the championship in 17 years is even more talked about. Pederson's offense has a lot of Andy Reed's shadow, including RPO and trips formations in the mid-range forward to put a side single.
Jim Caldwell, former Lions coach (2014-17)

Jim Hubble is the head coach of the University of Michigan
Many people think it's ridiculous that Hubble led the team 2-4 during last year's shrinkage season and was able to get a contract extension from the University of Michigan. The public consensus is that Michigan has been bullied by Ohio for many years, and hubble should get out of the egg.
Even bookmakers' predictions for the University of Michigan this season are only 7.5 wins. However, Hubble succeeded in punching the so-called experts in the face, and the talented players he recruited finally collectively threatened, winning 11 and losing 1 in the regular season, and abusing ohio in the league finals, ending the opponent's long reign over the Big Ten, and finally appearing in the National Playoffs as the second seed. Bill O'Brien, University of Alabama OC
O'Brien could regain a job as an NFL manager (or OC) after a year as an Alabama OC and calling offense. All in all, O'Brien's coaching this season is actually very average, and Alabama's offensive EPA+0.16 this season looks good, but it is certainly not enough by Alabama's standards, after they had at least +0.27 EPA for three consecutive years. They often let unblocked targets hit the quarterbacks, and the offensive calls weren't good enough — like the red zone offense against texas farmers, the National Semifinals against Cincinnati, where there was a clear advantage on the road but still had to play the ball. He has some managerial experience, but it's a risky bet.
