Inter need a pay cut to stay in the squad; Inter offer an annual salary that is 2 million different from Perisic's requirement

Inter milan have recently reached an agreement with many players in the team to renew their contracts, including Lautaro Martinez, Bastoni, Barrera and so on.

Club management will soon sit down with goalkeeper Handanovic and winger Perisic to discuss their contract extension.

Foreign media reported that Handanovic and Perisic needed a pay cut to reach a consensus with Inter.

Handanovic and Perisic's contract expires at the end of the season.

Inter need a pay cut to stay in the squad; Inter offer an annual salary that is 2 million different from Perisic's requirement

Inter have reached an early agreement with Ajax goalkeeper Onana that the 25-year-old Cameroon goalkeeper will join nerazzurri in the summer as a free agent.

The defending Serie A champions hope captain Handanovic will stay at the Meazza Stadium for another season, playing a role in bringing the old to the new, helping Onana quickly adapt to life at Inter.

However, Handanovic is 37 years old, and Inter hope that the veteran will be able to cut his salary sharply and stay in the team. As the team's captain, Handanovic is likely to agree to Inter's arrangement.

Inter also want to renew their contract with Perisic with a pay cut, but it seems a bit difficult.

In the January winter window, Inter signed Atlanta's Robin Gossens as a replacement for Perisic.

Perisic is 33 years old, and the Nerazzurri can only offer him an annual salary offer of up to 3.5 million euros. This is a far cry from the player's current annual salary, which is also Perisic's bottom line of 5.5 million euros.

It is not excluded that Perisic left Inter at the end of the season to find the last high salary of his career.
