Sony revealed in its earnings report that they plan to launch at least 10 instant service games by March 2026.

Speaking about the recent $3.6 billion acquisition of Bungie, CFO Hiroki Totoki revealed that the Destiny developer is working on a major new IP and that the company plans to leverage Bungie's expertise in real-time services in the future.
Asked what Bungie will bring to PlayStation, Totoki said: "Our studio will learn from Bungie, which is a very strong desire of us, and Bungie is willing to work closely with us. ”
PlayStation is well known for its ability to develop high-quality single-player games, such as Marvel Spider-Man, God of War, The Last Survivor, and Ghost of Tsushima. But last May, Sony said it planned to develop more service-led first-party gaming experiences, while also enhancing pc and mobile game experiences.
Industry insider 602 believes that Sony is really looking to expand the PlayStation, especially from the aspect of first-party games, which means that Sony will launch a strong combination of AAA single-player and multiplayer games in the future. That's why Sony funded third-party studios like Firewalk, Deviation, etc. But developing AAA instant service games doesn't mean the disappearance of AAA stand-alone games.
