As China's first Winter Olympic champion, Yang Yang has participated in various international competitions many times during his 13-year career as a national team. On January 1, 2020, Yang Yang officially took office as vice chairman of the World Anti-Doping Agency, which is the first time that Chinese has entered the top leadership of the agency.

Yang Yang said at the press conference that with the continuous changes in technology, doping testing has become more and more refined and rigorous in the process.

When asked what she was looking forward to for the Winter Olympics to be held on her doorstep, she said that China has made great efforts to prepare for the Beijing Winter Olympics and believes that it can present a wonderful event to the world, "We will have a very successful Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games."

At this Winter Olympics, the local Chinese sports delegation proposed that it is necessary to adhere to the bottom line goal of "zero tolerance and zero appearance" of doping. Yang Yang said that the Chinese delegation's attitude towards doping is not only zero tolerance, but also zero appearance, "there is such determination because of such ability."

Yang Yang, who was once a short track speed skater, sent a message to the athletes at the press conference, hoping that everyone can respect the rules, focus on training and competition, "do their job well, have the confidence to complete every clean game, and get a clean gold medal."
