Shanghai is bordered by the river and has a history of more than 6,000 years, and the red culture, Jiangnan culture and Shanghai culture are intertwined here. In this land, Xu Guangqi, the first person to exchange between China and the West, the Songjiang School headed by Dong Qichang, artistic all-rounders such as Li Shutong and Feng Zikai were born, and there were writers such as Lu Xun, Ba Jin, Xiao Hong and other writers who had a profound influence on the history of Chinese literature.

On the second day of the Chinese New Year, the fifth classic text reading program "Sven Jiangnan" was broadcast on Oriental Satellite TV. This episode focuses on Shanghai. Actors Sun Li and Lu Yi played the writers Xiao Hong and Ba Jin respectively, showing the story of the two writers who worked tirelessly in Shanghai and regarded Shanghai as their second hometown; actor Tong Ruixin played Li Shutong, who introduced Western music to China, showing the artist's deep connection with Shanghai; actor Zhang Tielin played Xu Guangqi, a Shanghai Songjiang man who introduced modern Western technology to China. Among the four actors, Zhang Tielin once filmed a film "Under the Bridge" in Shanghai, and Tong Ruixin came to Shanghai in the 1970s, and Sun Li and Lu Yi were both natives of Shanghai.

"The history and culture of Shanghai is very interesting. In the past, people said that Shanghai was a 'small fishing village', but this was not the case. Archaeologically speaking, because of the Songze culture, The Guangfulin culture and the Maqiao culture, we know that this land of Shanghai existed 6,000 years ago. Cao Kefan, host of "Sven Jiangnan", told the surging news reporter that on the occasion of the Spring Festival, this program hopes to lead the audience to approach Shanghai and understand Shanghai's incomparably rich historical heritage and cultural connotations.

In his view, there are two important nodes in the historical development of Shanghai, one is that in 1292, during the Yuan Dynasty, the town of Shanghai was carved out of Huating County and set up Shanghai County, which has since had the real "Shanghai"; second, in 1843, Shanghai opened its port, and a large number of advanced ideas and cultures from the West poured into Shanghai. "Shanghai as I understand it has four characteristics, the first is trend innovation, and its ability to accept new things is very strong. At the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century, the Western concept of banks, streets, electric lights, gas, running water, telephones, these are all in Shanghai; the second is the integration of China and the West, where the two cultures and two ideas of the East and the West meet, colliding with many new sparks; the third is commercial prosperity, because of the prosperity of commerce, so there is cultural prosperity; the fourth is the sense of citizenship, including the spirit of contract, the spirit of publicity, and the love of life. After the opening of the port, Shanghai was full of fresh air. ”

In this issue of "Sven Jiangnan", only Xu Guangqi was born in Shanghai, and Li Shutong, Ba Jin, and Xiao Hong were born in Shanghai, while Li Shutong, Ba Jin, and Xiao Hong all came to Shanghai when they were in their teens and twenties: in 1898, 19-year-old Li Shutong came to Shanghai; in 1923, the 19-year-old Ba Jin came to Shanghai; in 1934, the 23-year-old Xiao Hong came to Shanghai.

"Why are they attracted to Shanghai? Because there are new ideas, new cultures, new ideas. Cao Kefan said that as far as the field of literature is concerned, Shanghai can be described as an important town of Chinese literature in the 20th century, and the birthplace, source, promotion and harvest of New Chinese literature. Xiao Hong's famous work "The Field of Life and Death" was published in Shanghai, and almost all of Ba Jin's important works, including "Riptide Trilogy", "Love Trilogy" and "Human Trilogy", were published in Shanghai. In addition to them, Lu Xun, Mao Dun, Yu Dafu, Xu Zhimo, Fu Lei, Ke Ling, Shi Jingcun... Almost all the important writers in the history of modern Chinese literature have had inextricable ties with the city of Shanghai.

The same is true in the art world. Li Shutong came to Shanghai at the beginning of his 19th year, crossed east to Japan in 1905, and returned to Shanghai in 1912. Also in 1912, the year 1912, Wu Changshuo, who was nearly ancient, moved to Shanghai, and was the oldest "Shanghai drifter" among the cultural celebrities that can be found now. Another year later, in 1913, the 19-year-old Mei Lanfang debuted on the stage in Shanghai with great success. "Shanghai has very interesting regional and cultural characteristics, inclusive and inclusive." Cao Kefan said.

In the show, he also shared with several actors and audiences the literary works of contemporary Writers in Shanghai, including Wang Anyi's "Long Hate Song", Jin Yucheng's "Blossoming Flowers", Chen Danyan's "Shanghai Alley", and Cheng Naishan's "Etiquette of Old-school Shanghainese". After the reform and opening up, writers such as Wang Anyi, Jin Yucheng, Ye Xin, Chen Cun, and Wang Xiaoying have written a large number of works related to Shanghai, and they stand in their own perspectives to feel the changes in the city in different eras.

Wang Anyi's new work "A Knife, A Thousand Words" tells the fate of a chef between different cities, and also has the unique pyrotechnic atmosphere of Shanghai, which is very grounded, and I personally even think that this is a work that can be paralleled with "Long Hate Song". "Sven Jiangnan" is the first original cultural collection program launched by Oriental Satellite TV in the beginning of the year, focusing on several major Cultural Landmarks in Jiangnan, inviting performing arts masters and cultural scholars to revisit the classic texts of cultural masters, combining the "reading around" of modern drama and traditional Chinese chanting to pay tribute to Chinese culture. In order to combine the theme of the New Year, this issue also invites Jiading bamboo carving, Haipai velvet line weaving skills, Liantang cake dumpling making skills, Shanghai "Noodle Zhao" inheritors, Qibao shadow puppet play and other Haipai intangible cultural heritage skills and inheritors to come to the program site to create a "New Year Market" with Haipai characteristics. Sun Li, Lu Yi, Zhang Tielin, Tong Ruixin, and cultural scholars Wang Yonghao and Huang Xiaodan posted Spring Festival, listened to Shanghai opera, recited New Year greetings in the program, and sent New Year greetings for the Year of the Tiger to the audience.
