Wang Shuhui (1912.8 -1985.7), zi Yufen, ancestral home of Shaoxing, Zhejiang, born in Tianjin, joined the work in 1949, successively served as a member of the art department of the General Administration of Publishing, the head of the pattern team of the art room of the General Management Office of Xinhua Bookstore, the leader of the comic strip creation group of the People's Fine Arts Publishing House, and a professional painter.
She has loved painting since she was a child, and at the age of fifteen, she entered the Chinese Painting Research Association and successively studied painting with Wu Jingting, Xu Yansun, Wu Guangyu and other famous artists. She is talented and intelligent, diligent and studious, and her painting style is especially influenced by Qiu Ying and Chen Laolian, which can be described as blue out of blue and better than blue.
Wang Shuhui's painting theme is mainly based on ancient ladies, the painting figure shape is slightly exaggerated in subtlety, the line drawing is strong and powerful, the ink is clean, the color is bright and elegant, sweeping away the decadent painting style since the Ming and Qing dynasties, and opening up a new atmosphere.
