Gao Tingyu was born on December 15, 1997 in Yichun, Heilongjiang.

At the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, Gao Tingyu won the bronze medal in the men's 500 meters of speed skating with a time of 34.65 seconds, becoming the first Chinese male athlete to win a medal in speed skating at the Winter Olympics. In February 2020, in the World Speed Skating Championships, Gao Tingyu skated a time of 34.282 seconds, setting a personal best record. Last September, he set a new personal record again in the China Cup Speed Skating Elite League with a time of 33.83 seconds. After entering the Olympic season, Gao Tingyu was in a relatively stable state in the World Cup sub-station, and repeatedly skated out of the 34 seconds.

The female standard-bearer is Zhao Dan, a steel-frame snowmobile athlete.

Zhao Dan, born on December 14, 2002, inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, is a Chinese steel frame snowmobile. The post-00s youngster from the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region was a triple jumper with great athletic talent.

In the 2019/2020 season, she represented the Chinese team for the first time in the Youth Olympic Games in Switzerland, where she finished seventh. This is the first time that a Chinese women's steel frame snowmobile has landed on the WinterGreek Olympic Games. In the 2021/2022 season, Zhao Dan won the intercontinental cup in Innsbruck.
