On the morning of April 13, Su Yiming, Wu Dajing, Gao Tingyu, Ren Ziwei and 11 other Beijing Winter Olympic champions and medalists came to Beijing Winter Olympic Park to plant 18 national locust and whitebark pines. Add a new touch of green to the "China Ice and Snow Champion Forest" in the Winter Olympic Park.
This event is the first stop of the national mass ice and snow theme activity of "Ice and Snow to the Future" sponsored by the Winter Games Center of the General Administration of Sports, and it is also one of the series of activities of the National Public Welfare Service Plan of the National Team of Ice and Snow Projects.
Eight Olympic champions Han Cong, Sui Wenjing, Su Yiming, Gao Tingyu, Wu Dajing, Ren Ziwei, Qu Chunyu and Fan Kexin, as well as Qi Guangpu, Li Wenlong and Yan Wengang, three Olympic medal winners, participated in the event.
Through personal experience and practical actions, the Winter Olympic champions passed on the spirit of the Beijing Winter Olympics of "bearing the overall situation, being confident and open, facing difficulties, pursuing excellence, and creating a better future" to those who participated in ice and snow sports and loved ice and snow sports, played a leading role in the demonstration and leadership of the national team of ice and snow projects in the new era, and helped the construction of the demonstration area of "driving 300 million people to participate in ice and snow sports" in the post-Winter Olympic period.
Athletes such as Su Yiming and Wu Dajing exchanged speeches around the spirit of the Beijing Winter Olympics at the event. After the ceremony, everyone came to Beijing Winter Olympic Park to participate in the planting of trees in the "China Ice and Snow Champion Forest".
Covering an area of more than 1,000 square meters, the "Champion Forest" will work with the surrounding Winter Olympic theme spaces such as the train park, ice and snow forest and ice and snow children's fun to provide citizens with all-age and characteristic sports and leisure areas, so that citizens and tourists can experience the Winter Olympics and share the Winter Olympics more closely.
