Small citations

I firmly believe it's a legend.

An extremely simple action or posture, advocated by one person and repeatedly emphasized, and many people will follow, ten, a hundred, a thousand, ten thousand... In the end, 750,000 people repeated a movement together and bowed down. Day after day, month after month, year after year, five years later, a simple action has a magical meaning. The body, far beyond the embodiment it possesses, has become a symbol or metaphor. Today, when people lean down again, the original goal is blurred, but unexpectedly they find that there is more reverence and reconciliation between man and nature, and more understanding and harmony between people.

In 2015, when the gannan Tibetan autonomous prefecture party committee and the state government in Gansu province decided to launch a "global garbage-free" campaign in Gannan, not everyone saw the significance of the work. Some people are silent, some people are questioning, and even some people are passively coping; in the process of half pushing, half believing, people gradually go deeper and deeper. At first, people saw the "garbage picking" as a temporary task. Let it be done, after all, it is unimpeded and harmless, and the environment is better than dirty!

On the surface, it's just a simple and easy thing to do, like drilling a cave and touching it with your eyes closed. But soon, people unexpectedly saw some "glimmers" and felt that this matter was not so simple, and it seemed that there were more things to do and do than "clean". In order to remove a piece or pile of garbage, people not only need to bend to the garbage, but also to some of the people involved, and also to the wider environment and even naturally. As more light appears, greater difficulties gradually appear, and when greater difficulties appear, more lights appear ahead.

In this world, there should be no garbage. Everything that the Creator has created is necessary, useful, and has its proper use and purpose. They are where they are, they do what they do, and each receives his destiny in peace. Only later, it was artificially changed to the original state, or followed the trend, or forced, putting them in an inappropriate position or making them lose their due endowment. For example, plastic bags are not used to hold things, but let them fly up trees; feces are not in pits or sewers, but are scattered on the streets; bricks and tiles are not on walls and houses, broken, piled up in squares; a person who is not good at night in his bed, sneaking into someone else's cattle pen or warehouse... All this is human fault or fault. When a person bends down to "garbage", it is a reflection, repentance and correction of some kind of transgression and misconduct of oneself or of human beings.

In this way, the vast number of cadres and masses throughout the state, under the leadership of the state party committee and the state government, "lowered their stature" and followed the light all the way. Five years later, when an insignificant "garbage picking" evolved into a vigorous "environmental revolution"; when the natural environment of Gannan underwent an unexpected "butterfly change" due to the improvement of the awareness of environmental protection of all employees; when the vast number of peasants and herdsmen abandoned their old way of life and concepts of life and embraced the advanced civilization and harmonious modern life with open arms because of their yearning for a better life; when all parts of the country turned their eyes to this remote area, which was once known for its backwardness and dirty chaos, people found that I have bowed down hundreds of times, picking up not only the grace of nature and the pleasure of the heart, but also the self-confidence that can support the height of life and the dignity of human beings. Looking back, people finally found that the original "boundless area" movement was just a small incision, a simple way for things to enter the deep and large-scale fission, a small fuse.

With a body-to-body action, with years of consistent and uncompromising persistence, Gannan people have more of a complex in their hearts, more of a consciousness and habit in life, into the mind, into the heart, and then form a unique regional culture. Therefore, the leaders of Gannan quietly knocked on the door of the emotions and ideas of the masses; the 750,000 people of Gannan also jointly knocked on the green ecology of the plateau. They not only opened and led a far-reaching "environmental revolution" in the snowy plateau through the "global no garbage" movement, but also creatively practiced General Secretary Xi Jinping's concept of "green water and green mountains are golden mountains and silver mountains" through changes in people's thinking, concepts and cultures, and walked in the forefront of the country in the construction of spiritual civilization and a well-off society.

When the mountains and rivers, grassland wetlands, urban villages, streets and alleys, indoors and outdoors here are as clean as washing, when the people of all ethnic groups here are stable and united, living and working in peace and contentment, and working together to move towards the road of green development and moderate prosperity, this place has not only become a remarkable ecological highland, but also a humanistic highland that cannot be ignored. This area, known as the two river source areas and the "Water Tower of China", has achieved a magnificent turnaround, changed the old appearance of the past, and dedicated a deep blessing to the Chinese land and modern civilization with a pious attitude, pure endowments, and a holy image.

Chapter 1

The home of the river

One

"Go, go, go, go up, go high in the sky..."

An ancient Tibetan song echoes over the plateau. The sturdy white-shouldered eagle spreads its wide wings and glides across the sky like a giant kite lifted up by song.

Under the wings of the eagle, the rolling hills and endless grasslands fluctuate smooth and graceful curves under the white clouds. The shiny yaks, the snow-white Tibetan sheep, the red or flowered river horses, with the greatest devotion and endurance in their lives, bowed their heads deeply to the earth or the grass.

The sun was moving imperceptibly slowly, and the cattle and sheep still had no time to play and run, so they slowly moved forward with the shadow of the sun.

Looking at the past from a distance, they are very much like the size of the boat slowly moving forward between the green waves or in the depths of the years, regardless of the rapids and slow waves, only along a destined direction, firmly moving forward. There was wind, over the mountains, and the vast, colorless and invisible wading across the plateau, as if to convey a message or carry out a secret mission in a distant place. He did not pay attention, but was spied on by the flying horse's mane and the bent grass, and was identified without hesitation.

In the midst of this dynamic picture, suddenly a great river as clear and transparent as the wind suddenly fell, as if it came from the distant, white snow peak, and also from the white cloud-shrouded sky. Through the valley between the hills and the hills, through the gaps between the cattle and the sheep, twisting and turning, twisting and turning, and rushing to the east, with the help of the sun shining, like a golden hada, from the Muxi Hehe far away dougai ri chao, all the way downstream in the direction of Awancang. Perhaps, only the eagle standing in the clouds can see the walking route of this great river and guess its true thoughts and intentions.

The river did not drift away with the wind. When it reached the Jicha Rock in Awancang, it seemed to suddenly remember something, immediately turned its direction, and went all the way to the north, and after a trip to the Niangma Temple, it was like ending a wish, and it took a hesitant step to continue to the east. Dozens of miles later, when we arrived at the Cairima Wetland, we lingered for a long time in the low-lying and vast bush. After that, the pace became more and more sluggish and viscous, turning around to the edge of the easternmost Weidang Pond, which is the famous Ruoerge Wetland, and turned around a bend, heading in the direction of Ben Nyima Town, then Euler, then Euler Shuma... It turned out that it had made a huge circle on this plateau wetland, not to drive it east into the sea, but for a secret wish.

Before leaving his hometown, River was the bridesmaid. When it is about to leave the mother's family and marry the end of the world, it must not only let the inner emotions be fully released, but also let the energy in the depths of life be fully stimulated and reserved, and let the attachment that lives and dies with the soul be nourished enough. Water is the life, the blood and the wealth of a lifetime! This time, it will bring hundreds of millions of square meters of clear, pure and sweet water to the far side, to a wider fertile land, along the way to give alms, nourish living beings, zealous all things, the basin area of 750,000 square kilometers, until the final destination - Dongming Bohai Sea. When the river turned back and left, took the road to Qinghai, and went all the way east without hesitation, people woke up like a dream, and it turned out that this river was carrying such a sacred and important mission! In addition to his gratitude, he named this land surrounded by a large river maqu.

Maqu means Yellow River in Tibetan. It can be said that although this mother river of the Chinese nation was born in Qinghai, it grew up in Gannan. After entering Muxihe Township in Maqu County, Mentang Township, Jiuzhi County, Guoluo Prefecture, Qinghai, 433 kilometers in Maqu County, accounting for 8% of the total travel of the Yellow River of 5464 kilometers, equivalent to a person's wonderful age from 18 to 30 years old. The river flows north from the west, south and east of Maqu County, and then turns westward into Henan Mongol Autonomous County in Nanzhou, Qinghai Province, forming the famous "first bend of the Yellow River under the world", referred to as the first song of the Yellow River, and then simplified to be the river song. Hequ is the ancient place name of this area. Standing on a hill in Tangke Town, Ruoerge County, Sichuan Province, looking north, Miaoman's posture when the Yellow River turned around in Maqu territory could be seen. People who look at the scenery can often only see the beautiful scenery of Gannan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture in Gansu Province, but they can't see the Yellow River turning so far, and it takes more than 10.8 billion cubic meters of runoff water from this land every year.

When the Yellow River returned to Gansu from Qinghai, it merged with another major river in Gannan, the Tao River, at the Liujiaxia Reservoir in Yongjing County, adding an average annual runoff of 5.3 billion cubic meters. One of the reasons why people call Gannan the "China Water Tower" is that the amount of water obtained by the Yellow River in Gannan is huge. Putting aside the many tributaries of the Tao River, there are no less than hundreds of tributaries of the Yellow River in Maqu County, and there are 28 large and famous ones, and the amount of water is very rich, so it is known as the "reservoir" of the plateau. Another reason is the high altitude of this autonomous prefecture, which is located on the border of the Tibetan Plateau and the Loess Plateau. Not to mention the source of the Yellow River at an altitude of 4800 meters, only its riverbed in Maqu, the highest place also has an altitude of 4500 meters. It is a long road of more than 5,000 kilometers that dissolves the gap between the beginning and the end of this great river, so that people in low-altitude areas cannot feel the strange and dangerous "water of the Yellow River rising from the sky".

If the Maqu and the "First Bend of the Yellow River of jiuqu" are directly panned over the Bohai Sea. People at the mouth of the river or at low altitudes will find that the huge water tower is suspended more than 4,000 meters above the clouds. Yes, the Yellow River this open pipe, a lot of water in it flows from there, its original source is clear or turbid, dirty or clean, harmful and harmless, how can it not affect the nerves of hundreds of millions of people?

Two

Born on the Yellow River and raised by the Yellow River, Dolma Gabu seems to have taken this ancient river into his heart when he was very young. Looking back on the course of my own 55 years of life, from the heart, there is hardly a day that I have actually left or "let go" across this great river.

When an outsider mentioned the three words "Mother River" in front of him, he just smiled lightly, and there would always be a little disdain in his bones: "A person who only knows the Yellow River from books or television can only perceive it by the ideas and imaginations in his heart." Standing at a distance and watching or praising, always innocuous, how can you be like me Dolma Gabu and even the soul with blood is entangled with it? It is said that it is a mother, but who has treated the Yellow River in the same way as Dolma Gabu in emotion and action? Who has been like Dolma Gabu because of the changes in the Yellow River? Who has been as proud, happy, gracious, grateful, worried, worried, worried, distressed, waiting, and defending the Yellow River? The Yellow River is not only a mother in the heart of Dolma Gabu, it has even become a god he loves and fears!

In December, the grass of the Awancang Wetland is golden, and the distant hills are covered with a layer of snow. At this time, the main channel of the Yellow River and some of its tributaries have not yet frozen, and the veins of water are like sky blue ribbons, fluctuating and shining on this vast grass beach. Dolma Gabu stood on his own pasture not far from the river, waving his long sleeve in the direction of the river, as if this ancient flowing river had an unquestionable fate with him in an instant.

To this day, Dolma Gabu can't tell exactly when and where his father or ancestors came here. I didn't know that the world was so vast and my predecessors chose such a beautiful plateau with abundant grass but thin air. Whenever in between labors, standing on a high place and looking into the distance, Dolma Gabu's heart will surge with waves of happiness and happiness. Although people in low-altitude areas find it difficult to breathe after coming here, it does not feel like that for people who grew up in the highlands.

If you have feelings, you can only feel the tranquility and quiet beauty of your hometown. Obviously it is a kind of paradise, how can you feel breathless? Everything is clean here, sunshine, air, rivers, grasslands, cattle and sheep, horses, deer, swans, black-necked cranes, hartebeests, snow leopards, snow chickens, flying goshawks and clever foxes, what can make people feel nervous?

Dolma Gabu has always felt that his mind is clear and awake. To this day, he can still remember the events of his childhood and the words his parents and grandfather told him. You can't pee and pour dirty water into the river, you can't dump animal feces and blood into the river, you can't spit on the snow and valleys, you can't nail stalks to the grass... At that time, he was small and ignorant, and he resisted these inexplicable rules from the heart. So, Pouting and asking Grandpa, "Why?" Looking at his reluctant face, Grandpa would say to him patiently, "Because there is a river god in every river, and there is a mountain god on every mountain." The gods of water and mountains are guarding their territories every day, and whoever defiles their waters and mountains will punish them. If it is an old man, it will make him waist pain, leg pain, and eyes can not see things clearly; if it is an adult, it will make him suddenly have a stomachache or fall off a horse; as for children, they will grow short and not good-looking, and some brains are like a pool of muddy water, not good, and they can't understand things..." "I heard that on Euler's side, when the herders on the banks of the Qiong River stuffed their teeth after eating meat, even folding a Sulu flower to pick their teeth will be condemned by others. Because the shrubs and grasses on the mountain belong to cattle, sheep and horses, the livestock enjoy things that people cannot infringe upon. Man has the territory and rights of man, animals have the territory and rights of animals, this is the arrangement of heaven, or the arrangement of the god of water and the god of the mountains, and whoever crosses the line and violates the rules will be punished. ”

These words made Dolma Gabu and his friends tremble and half-believe it. But when the elders speak very seriously, and usually they strictly abide by what they say, the children will believe it.

When winter comes, the family has to move from the summer pasture to the winter pasture. The family was reluctant to break the soil in the pasture, dig a trench to build a fixed earthen house, and set up a tent on the winter pasture. In late autumn and early winter, although the pastures are dry and full of slaughter, the cold wind from the northwest has not yet blown on a large scale, the temperature is not too low, and people are still comfortable living in tents. However, after entering the middle of winter, the grassland is blowing strong winds, and the tents of ordinary people need to be thickened and fixed. This requires a choice. Dolma Gabu and his friends stared at the adults with small eyes to see if they only told the harsh words to the children and did things themselves. The results left the elves speechless, and the elders they saw were non-verbal people, and even if they fixed the tents in which they lived, they refused to lay stakes on the grass, but used the cold weather to freeze the sticks with water and cow dung, fix them to the grass, and then tie the ropes to the sticks to fix the tents.

After a long winter of suffering, spring finally came in the gentle breeze, under the wings of the black-necked crane, in the chirping of the swan, in the gaze of the river qu horse and in the smile of the agglomerate. Like little swallows that have been dormant for a winter, the children pounce on the grass and the river with joy. Her sister, who is two years younger than Dolma Gabu, is naturally beautiful, and when she catches the flowers in the grass, she picks them and wears them on her head, yellow, red, blue, purple, pink... Running mercilessly, busy, and picking one flower after another. Suddenly, a voice came from behind: "Children, don't pick those flowers!" "It was Grandpa's voice. The children's emotions immediately changed from elation to surprise and doubt. Grandpa beckoned them over, and then told them that the flowers in the meadow were for ornamentation and seed reproduction, and that if one flower was picked this year, five fewer flowers might bloom on the grass next year. "The mountain god in charge of flowers and plants is watching you in the shadows, and if he doesn't obey, he will quietly punish people." For the boys who pick flowers, he will punish them for not growing up, and when they are 16 years old, they will still stand there like a Sulu who cannot blossom, and he will punish the girl who picks flowers for not looking good. If you let there be no beautiful flowers on the grass, he will make you look like a grass, and you will never be able to bloom beautiful and bright flowers..." After saying that Grandpa smiled mysteriously, the children quickly spit out their tongues and turned and ran away.

Speaking of which, Dolma Gabu is also an obedient child in the village, and he will remember and consciously abide by all the instructions and admonitions of the adults, and he is also loved by his parents. Unfortunately, he didn't like to read. He did not read, not because he did not love the ecology when he was a child, he offended a river god or a mountain god, and was punished for not having a bright brain. Isn't reading a book to leave this prairie and this beautiful river? Why spend a lot of time and a lot of money doing something that you don't like and doesn't mean much? When a man grows up, he must first consider taking over the whip in his parents' hands and the burden on his shoulders as soon as possible and repaying their parenting grace. This was dolma Gabu's idea at that time. When Dolma Gabu was young, there were still very few schools in the pastoral area, and it was necessary to go to the town of Nyima, hundreds of miles away, and the parents of the traditional herdsmen felt frightened when they thought about the long distance and the unpredictable classroom, and finally they hesitated to put his schooling on hold.

In the early years, in addition to playing "substitute hands" for his busy parents and being a zero-time difference, Dolma Gabu was hanging out with his friends on the edge of the Yellow River, digging up some cordyceps or picking some medicinal herbs. At that time, the ecology of the wetland was still in good condition, the water was vast and clear, the grass was lush and beautiful, and the grassland was full of vitality, and it seemed that after ten thousand years, it would not show a state of decay and exhaustion. Once the cattle and sheep are driven to the designated place, people can move freely. As long as they return to their original places in the evening, the cattle and sheep will certainly still graze not far from the original place, and the grass nearby is enough for them to enjoy, and they do not need to go far. At that time, Dolma Gabu would not be far away from his cattle and sheep, and most of the time he sat on the hill to watch how the wind passed through the tip of the grass; or sat on the shore to watch the river flow without beginning and end; or lie on the grass and watch the white clouds rolling in the sky. If you paint such a scene as a painting, it is okay to name it fantasy, and it is also okay to name it dream. Anyway, Dolma Gabu, who was in the middle of it, had no intention of coming out of it for a while.

Since 1982, the pastoral areas of Gannan have also been contracted to households, divided into grasslands, cattle and sheep, and the family unit has suddenly become a production unit, the original mode of production has been broken, and it seems that people's way of life and original way of thinking have also been broken at once. More importantly, Dolma Gabu's dreams were shattered. When the livestock separated from the animal husbandry brigade, he found that the assets owned by his family were not very large, and the 30 cattle and 100 sheep after the subcontracting appeared empty in more than 2,000 acres of pasture. At this point, his heart also began to become empty. To this day, he feels that his past many years have been a kind of pure vanity and waste. With such a small number of cattle and sheep, one person in the family can take care of it, and there is no need for such a strong and big man as him. Although he was only 17 years old at the time, in his imagination, he was already a big man who stood tall in the sky.

This year, he began to look for his own path in life against the gridded pastures.

There are successive vendors who come to the pastoral area to sell cattle and sheep, driving small trailers everywhere to find trading partners. Because he was not familiar with the situation in the pastoral area, he could only run around in the wilderness, like a headless fly, trying his luck everywhere. The clever Dolma Gabu saw their predicament and offered to guide them. In the early stage of the transition from a planned economy to a market economy, Dolma Gabu served as a non-governmental intermediary for several years, making the trade and circulation of local products inside and outside the pastoral areas more efficient because of his collusion. Set up your own stage and others sing. Although this is a low-end supporting role in the commercial link, the monthly income of about 200 yuan is already an input worth showing off in that era. Just running around like this, slowly I also saw the "doorway". Within two years, Dolma Gabu officially "sang on stage" and started trading cattle and sheep. After earning money, he began to expand his business areas, not only as a cattle and sheep trader, but also with some larger profit margins such as skins, cheese, and ghee.

At the turn of the century, pasture contracting in pastoral areas was further subdivided, and in order to avoid disputes between neighbors and effective rotation of grazing, every household needed to fence its own grassland with wire. For a time, wire became the most sought-after commodity in pastoral areas. Dolma Gabu saw the business opportunity and transformed in time to change to the barbed wire business. At first, he was still a middleman, and he trafficked the barbed wire of Xining manufacturers from Qinghai Province for a long time. On the whole, these barbed wire meshes in other provinces are all high in price and large in cost, first, their own profit margins are very small, and second, the herdsmen also have to pay more fees, and the gains outweigh the losses. To solve this problem, he simply decided to build a factory of his own to produce barbed wire. In this way, not only can we solve the problem of high cost and price, but also drive local employment, killing three birds with one stone, why not enjoy it!

In 2003, the barbed wire factory in Dolma Gabu was officially established and put into operation. The business of the factory is booming, and as soon as it is put into production, it has full horsepower and rushes orders day and night. Due to the low price, within a year, the nearby ranches were equipped with barbed wire from his production. Of course, the first demonstration was his own ranch.

One day, on a whim, Dolma Gabu wanted to drive around the prairie and inspect the farms as they were fitted with the barbed wire he had made. It's his masterpiece! He wanted to feel it. But what he couldn't imagine was that this trip to "hang out" actually left a deep mark in his heart, allowing him to completely change his life and life state from then on.

People born on the plateau have large hearts and wide horizons, and as soon as they look up, they reach the edge of the wetland. He walked all the way and watched all the way. The car was galloping, and his eyes were scanning the wetlands, and he saw one of the most memorable scenes of his life. On the barbed wire he had made by his own hands, hanging objects of various colors were trembling with the wind, red, white, blue, black... It wasn't a prayer flag for blessings, it was a discarded plastic bag that came from the city, the countryside and came from all directions, hanging high in the wind. On the grass inside and outside the barbed wire, there are also scattered dots of light of red, yellow or more confusing colors, but these are not flowers, but all kinds of plastic packaging that people throw away. Dolma Gabu walked all the way, feeling frightened all the way. Over the years, he has only been immersed in business, and he has not paid attention to the changes around him at all. From what day of the year, the wetland that I was once very familiar with began to change, and finally became like this? Then, as if remembering something more important, he quickly turned the head of the car and rushed to the bank of the Yellow River. The Yellow River, the mother river of his heart, seems to have been forgotten over the years by his own wanderer, whose heart has flown into the distance, and today he wants to relive it well.

Just as he remembers his mother's face when he was young, Dolma Gabu knows the width and narrowness of the Yellow River in this area, the height of its banks, its turns, and what kind of plants grow on its banks. But now the river that comes into view has become plausible, and it is said that acquaintance is indeed acquaintance, and its bends and its shores are still the same as yesterday, but its appearance is no longer what it used to be. The shores that were once covered with lush grass have been turned into sand dunes; the once neat riverbanks have also been cut into "wolf's teeth and jagged" by sand diggers; some of the once clear tributaries have disappeared, leaving only a crooked sand ditch spreading across the grass; the once smooth and flat shores of the water are piled up with all kinds of plastic products and discarded goods...

Many years ago, Dolma Gabu rode a horse to Orashuma, when there were no bridges or wide roads on the wetlands, and he was going to ride his horse through many rivers, and the people who walked that road told him that if he just went forward, there would be no danger. He let the horses walk slowly for two days, 100 kilometers slowly, and as he walked, he counted the rivers he crossed, and the result was a total of 108 large and small rivers. If you count again now, I am afraid that one-third of the rivers will have dried up. Dolma Gabu stood by the Yellow River for a long time that day, looking at the dappled and vicissitudes of his eyes, as if his beloved mother had been hurt badly, and her face was covered with scars and mud. The scene in front of him could not bear to witness, and he felt a pain coming from the mouth of his heart.

Three

The uneasy Dolma Gabu struggled in his heart as he walked back. He thought over and over again that people like to say that the Yellow River is the mother river, but why don't people have a filial piety and soft heart? Why is it that being favored by others is not good for others? Everyone is willing to say that they are kind, but how can a kind person bear to smear his mother's face? If you are a kind person, you should at least know how to honor your parents and be kind to people who are kind to you! Could it be that the Yellow River did not nourish our grasslands, nourish our cattle and sheep, and ourselves?

Those days Dolma Gabu's heart became very fragile, and the feeling was always torn between tears and no tears. When it comes to the pollution of wetlands and the Yellow River, he wants to tell others the big truths in his heart, hoping that everyone will take action to be better for our mother river. However, people are busy with their own business, almost no one is interested, and no one responds positively. What to do? How can we awaken people's inner numbness and indifference? He suddenly wanted to do something in front of him himself. Yeah, didn't I, like everyone else, do nothing, or do nothing beneficial? If you don't even do it yourself, what qualifications do you have to persuade and mobilize others?

Once he decided that he was going to take matters into his own hands and wipe away the tear marks and mud on his mother's face, he made a serious quantitative assessment of the matter. In the face of the vast and boundless garbage distribution area, his heart suddenly sank. If you want to completely remove these things from the wetland, you can't finish it in eight lifetimes by your own strength, and after cleaning up this stubble, there may be another stubble. But looking back, things always have to have a beginning, as long as you work hard for a thing, there will be hope. If you can't do it yourself, you can also mobilize your own family to do it, your family can't do it, you can also lead the workers in your factory to do it, as long as you do it day by day, year by year, the garbage will definitely become less and less, and the pollution-free area will become larger and larger, and he firmly believes that more and more people will do the same as them. In short, there is hope as long as action is taken.

He decided to start with his family's ranch and factory to carry out a garbage eradication operation. At first, he worked alone in front of and behind the house, and then expanded his field to factories and pastures. A bag and a bag of garbage were transported out, and he felt that the efficiency was too low and too unsolvable, so he drove the "half-cut" car to the grassland, and transported the whole truck and the whole truck to the outside. Later, he began to mobilize his family to work with him. After the children finished school, he led them to the pasture, and one of them turned into a squad. A week later, he cleaned up the plastic bags on his family's more than 2,000 acres of grassland, various wrapping papers, packaging boxes, scattered ash, old clothes, cattle and sheep bones and other garbage.

At first, the people nearby were very puzzled about the dolma Gabu family picking up garbage, thinking that they had another plan to pick up those things, "Is there any special value in these things?" Dolma Gabu explained it to them when he had the chance, but most of them shook their heads in disbelief, thinking that Dolma Gabu, who would make money, would not leave the economic benefits. Therefore, I still want to secretly observe the secret behind it. Later, Dolma Gabu mobilized the workers in his factory and cleaned up the environment near the factory area in an orderly and clean manner. The factory workers did not lie to their families, and came back to tell their families about the factory, and they believed that Dolma Gabu was really doing good deeds. At this time, looking at the pasture and factory environment of Dolma Gabu so good, and then seeing how dirty his own pasture was, he felt that his face was a little hanging. Later, he also learned the example of Dolma Gabu and did it. After cleaning up the ranch, they finally discovered a secret: the mood after cleaning up their surroundings was the same as washing their faces clean, although it was not a big deal, but they could confidently lift their heads when walking on the road.

Dolma Gabu watched his actions trigger a chain reaction, and was greatly encouraged emotionally and confidently, and began to organize his family, workers, and volunteer herders to enter the public sphere to clean up the "ownerless" garbage. Since then, the villagers of Dalqing in Ora Township, where Dolma Gabu is located, have spontaneously organized more and more large-scale environmental sanitation activities, more and more frequent, and the field has become larger and larger, as far as they have been 100 kilometers away, where they can think of where garbage may exist, such as highways, rivers, racecourses, etc., they have to rush to clean up. There are no garbage bins on the grassland, and it is inconvenient for herders to transport and dispose of garbage, so Dolma Gabu agreed with the villagers that no matter who saw the garbage, they did not have to go far, as long as they were taken to their agreed place and stacked there neatly, Dolma Gabu's car would regularly put away and transport it to the designated landfill.

In 2008, Maqu County hosted the first Gesar Horse Racing Convention, which has been held annually ever since. During the race, 60,000 or 70,000 horsemen and riders from all walks of life from Sichuan, Gansu, Qingdao, Shaanxi and Tibet gathered as 60,000 or 70,000 horse racing enthusiasts and tourists from all over the country. In the days when the competition was in full swing, people were boiling with blood, dancing, and drunk, forgetting everything as soon as they forgot their feelings, and they were not necessarily very clear where they were, let alone restraining their behavior. At this time, even if you throw something away or discard something, you must not know it. So, every day after a wonderful game, there will be a piece of garbage left in the stands. Every year at the horse racing conference, Dolma Gabu would lead relatives and hired workers to the viewing platform silently, and when the audience dispersed, they would clean up the garbage left in the stands. Every year. The Gesar Horse Racing Convention in Maqu County has been held for 13 consecutive years, and they have cleaned up the garbage 13 times. The amount of garbage in the first few sessions was huge, and the garbage cleaned out of each session could fill the 8-meter-long truck car. Later, Gannan Prefecture comprehensively carried out the "garbage-free work in the whole region", more people picked up garbage, and the cadres and cleaners of the organs picked it up with them, and the workload of Dolma Gabu suddenly decreased a lot, and every time a 3-meter-long small truck was driven, the problem was solved. The accountant in the Dolma Gabu factory made a preliminary statistic, and over the years, the cost of dolma Gabu only for transporting garbage accumulated more than 200,000 yuan.

Dolma Gabu's small environmental protection volunteer team, like a torch of environmental protection, turned east and west on the Awancang wetland, although it has been tenaciously burning, but it has not realized Dolma Gabu's original ideals and formed a burning trend. Such a state made Dolma Gabu feel some loneliness and weakness. Whenever he led his "small group" team to clean up the garbage that had been cleared several times but appeared again, he could not help but feel a little desolate and helpless in his heart. At this point, how much he wanted to follow him thousands of people, as long as they went everywhere they went, they would be clean. Even if there are not so many people who are determined to remove garbage, even if there are more people who do not make garbage or do not discard garbage!

One day in 2012, Dolma Gabu met several herdsmen picking up garbage at Langmu Monastery, and he felt very kind, as if he had found a long-lost brother. At the very least, it should be a fellow human being who is committed to environmental protection! He hurried up to ask for details. Fang knew that the other party was some self-organized non-governmental volunteers who would come to Langmu Temple every June to pick up garbage to protect the source of the Bailong River, and Dolma Gabu immediately proposed the establishment of a small environmental protection volunteer association. In order to express his enthusiasm and desire, Dolma Gabu funded 10,000 yuan for the newly formed association on the spot. Since then, Dolma Gabu has not only participated in the activities of the association on time every year, but also funded it according to a fixed standard every year. Just after returning home from Langmu Temple, he heard that there was also a non-governmental environmental protection association in Awancang Township, and he simply hit the iron while it was hot, and directly sent 10,000 yuan of activity subsidies to that association. He wants to keep these environmental protection sparks burning vigorously, as long as their enthusiasm is burning more and more vigorously, his heart will feel warmer and warmer. In this way, the rivers and grasslands he loves will become more and more beautiful, and they will be cherished and respected by people more and more.

Four

The real turnaround was in 2015.

From the beginning of the year, Dolma Gabu felt that there were more people in the field of vision to maintain the environment and pick up garbage, and some of the places where they often moved had been "occupied" by others. Intuitively judging that these people were not villagers he was familiar with, it certainly had little to do with his past initiation and leadership. Some of those people were dressed in overalls, and some were simply cadres. At first, he felt that this was the reason for the seasons and the customs—spring came, and the cadres of the city organs went out to engage in "patriotic hygiene" for a few days, plant a few trees, and the gust of wind passed. However, with the passage of time, the "wind" not only did not pass, but also had a tendency to become bigger and bigger. Just when he was feeling inexplicable, some cadres came into the house to mobilize and publicize him. Dolma Gabu smiled at the cadres who came to the house and said, "You have come to do my mobilization work?" We've been picking up trash for over a decade! The cadres naturally praised Dolma Gabu's foresight and consciousness, but at the same time said that this time was different from the past.

What's the difference? When the cadres chatted with Dolma Gabu for an hour, and after showing and explaining the documents in the state and county, Dolma Gabu felt that it was indeed different from what he imagined. In the past, the documents in this regard were thin, and it was a matter of saying a good word without much specific content. This time, the documents were thick stacks, some of which were written, some of which were divided into strips, and some of which were typed into tables. Although he did not know Chinese characters, judging from the number and thickness of the documents, he could also feel that this time was very unusual. After listening to the cadres' explanations, he had a better score in his heart. This operation is from the state to the county, from the county to the township, and from the township to the village, and everyone has the responsibility that falls on their heads. There are not only requirements, but also supervision, inspections, rewards and punishments. According to the requirements in the document, if any herdsman's sanitation is not done well, a string of fines should be imposed from the bottom up, and finally even the county party secretary and county magistrate of Maqu County will be punished. Does this pay off? This is going to be real! In terms of time, it is not said that it will be half a month or a month as in the past, and this time there is no deadline. According to the habitual thinking and thinking of the herders, there is no deadline, that is, forever, never stopped. In terms of governance content, it is not simply to pick up garbage and clean up, but also to manage rivers, grasslands, neighborhoods, roads, villages and pastoral points. The county document mentions the comprehensive rectification of the "eight chaos," and Dolma Gabu clearly remembers several, what kind of piles, littering, littering, random rows, random erection, random construction, etc., the public must intervene in the rectification, as if even the image of the individual and the placement and hygiene of the herdsmen's homes are involved. The surface was wide and large, far beyond one's own estimation. In this way, not only will the earth change, but the heavens will also change, and the pastoral area will no longer be a pastoral area, and it will really become what people call "paradise on earth."

But Dolma Gabu's biggest concern is the Yellow River, and this time the Yellow River is really saved or safe. From now on, in addition to protecting the Yellow River and protecting the wetlands, there are thousands of people doing it, and behind thousands of people there is a powerful force that he cannot assess. Thinking of governance, Dolma Gabu felt that a lot of strength had been added to his body, and his heart was as bright as the sky after the rain. Now, with his eyes closed, Dolma Gabu could think of the future of this wetland—just as many years ago, the river was a river, the bank was a bank, the grass was grass, the flowers were flowers, the waters were abundant, the scales were submerged, and the eyes were peaceful and pure. Later, Dolma Gabu still opened his eyes and asked the cadres around him: "Are these things true or false?" Do you guarantee that nothing will change? He asked this question, not to doubt, but to confirm that this was something he had dreamed of for more than ten years. Until several cadres gave him a few thumbs up and turned away, he was still in a trance.

A few days later, what was happening in front of him finally convinced Dolma Gabu that a change was brewing across Avancang that had never been seen before. He didn't know who was behind it and what forces were driving it all. Miraculously, the impression is that people who usually hold their heads high and seem to have nothing to do with them suddenly seem to be magical, and often bend down and pick up garbage or cigarette butts at their feet. That scene was a little ridiculous, and a little touching. Now, the changes that can be seen seem to be measured not in days or months, but in hours; the areas covered do not seem to be limited to those around us or in sight. It feels like there's a change happening everywhere. In a few days, the roads, villages, and streets became clean and tidy, and there were garbage bins in places where there were no garbage bins in the past. Not only are there suddenly more people maintaining the environment, but it seems that in this remote highland town, there are all kinds of machines that can't be named. Garbage trucks, loaders, compactors, cleaning trucks, etc., all appeared in the streets and began to operate vigorously. The cleaning staff seems to be much more than usual, and where no one has cleaned before, it will not be long before a special responsible cleaner will come and clean it.

In order to verify the actual effect, Dolma Gabu deliberately drove around. The streets of Awancang, the nearby grazing points, pastures, rivers... He laughed at himself in his heart as he walked, and he was not the official in charge of the inspection, why did he so much? I feel a little timid, but then I think about it, how can I care about the regional environment for more than a moment and a half! Take a bold walk around and see what' the heck! Right to sightseeing. So, he went to the county seat and saw that many streets had changed their appearance, and the stalls on the street had disappeared; the storefront had also been renovated, from the rustic tiles and fiberglass decorations in the past to unique Tibetan decorations; the lights on the streets had also been replaced by beautiful styles; and several main streets such as Gesar East Street and Gama Road looked like the big city streets on TV, even more beautiful than those streets. Having seen enough of the city, Dolma Gabu turned the head of the car and went to the outskirts to see the Yellow River.

Not far from the main channel of the Yellow River, he stopped the car, walked toward a brand new small house, and when he got closer, he realized that it was not a small house, but a tourist toilet built near the observation deck. Such toilets have also recently increased a lot, and there are four or five places that Dolma Gabu has seen with his own eyes. It turns out that there used to be two sand-digging "hook machines" in this area, one in the bed of the nearby tributary of the Yellow River and one on the main channel of the Yellow River. Dolma Gabu carefully inspected it, and the large pit that was originally dug out was also partially backfilled, and it is estimated that it was "treated" and will not be rebuilt in the future. The garbage in the river is gone, but the desertification of the grass on both sides of the river is still very serious, and it still looks uncomfortable. It seems that it will take a long time to return to its original appearance.

When Dolma Gabu returned home, he was just in time for the staff to come to check. As a matter of routine, Dolma Gabu was never nervous about their arrival in groups of three or three or five or six. What's so nervous about it? As long as you do things well according to the requirements, they are willing to check it! The cadres also know that dolma Gabu's house does not need to be inspected, but this does not mean that other people's homes do not need to be inspected. Dolma Gabu understands them because they must complete the prescribed actions according to the prescribed procedures and time, otherwise they will be held accountable if something goes wrong. These cadres are not easy, not only in their own areas of responsibility, they must supervise and inspect the areas of baobao, and sometimes they have to take matters into their own hands to help those baobao households with poor self-consciousness to clean up and clean up. If they don't do it well, they still have several layers of regulatory agencies on their heads! The county urban and rural environmental sanitation comprehensive improvement work office, the county party committee and county government inspection office, and the state party committee and state government inspection office are more powerful than the first level. "Urban areas are inspected on Monday, townships are inspected twice a month, and the whole county is ranked once a month" cannot be done, or if something goes wrong, it is necessary to deal with people. So every time they came to the house, Dolma Gabu would make them a cup of hot milk tea, not to please them, but because they were really hard and not easy. These things, if they do not do their best to do, once the ecological evil of the wetland, the people will not only have to worry more, but also will suffer from it.

Every time the cadres came to the house to inspect, Dolma Gabu would find a way to talk to them for a while, about the government's ideas and plans for environmental protection, as well as some stories and special people encountered in the process of protection. People are like this, and even if they are not able or unable to do it themselves, they feel very happy to talk about it and listen to it. Recently, I heard the cadres say that the county's work goal has changed again, the original is "no garbage in the whole region", and recently it has become "to build a global tourism garbage-free demonstration zone". Could it be that there will be more content behind the garbage cleaning? Thinking of this, Dolma Gabu's expression became happy: "Is it necessary to build the whole Awancang into a huge tourist attraction?" Listening to Dolma Gabu's words, the cadres nodded to him and said, "Mm-hmm, almost."

Five

Dolma Gabu first met Yu Chenghui, secretary of the state party committee, in late 2016, when the gannan capital cooperated with the city held a commendation meeting. That time, Dolma Gabu won a great honor, because he has been unremittingly engaged in environmental protection work in the source area of the Yellow River for more than ten years, and because of his outstanding performance in the environmental governance work of the whole state, he was rated as "advanced individual in the comprehensive improvement of urban and rural environmental sanitation in Gannan Prefecture". At that conference, he was not only honored for wearing red flowers, but also introduced his years of dedication to environmental protection in Tibetan. When he received the award, it was Yu Chenghui who awarded him the medal.

After the meeting, Yu Chenghui deliberately explained to the staff that he asked Dolma Gabu to stay and talk to him alone. Yu Chenghui said: "Although I can't understand Tibetan and can't understand the meaning of every sentence you say, they have systematically introduced your deeds to me, and I have carefully read the deeds materials." What you have done is very meaningful, not only for Awancang, but also for Gannan Prefecture and the whole province, and all the cadres in Gannan must learn from you..." Dolma Gabu was deeply encouraged by Yu Chenghui's words, but he did not know how to answer them. When Yu Chenghui spoke, he only smiled and listened carefully, and even forgot to say something, he was a little nervous, but also a little flattered. Looking at him like this, Yu Chenghui deliberately relaxed and smiled a little to ease the atmosphere, and then continued: "Dolma Gabu, keep working hard!" We must set the goal farther and bigger, just picking up garbage is not the purpose, our purpose is to make our green water and green mountains into golden mountains and silver mountains, is to create a beautiful dream for the whole state and the whole country through our efforts; it is to let the people of Gannan live a good life, children have school, young people have development, the elderly can provide for the elderly, everyone has a house, everyone can enjoy modern civilization and modern life..."

After Dolma Gabu returned from the state capital, he had nothing to do to figure out the meaning of Yu Chenghui's conversation. By now he finally knew that environmental modification or "global garbage-free" was only the beginning of a big thing, and there might be many more things to follow. Dolma Gabu believes that it will be a good thing for the benefit of the country and the people.

Dolma Gabu wanted to understand one thing, he was still a herdsman. Yes, it is a herdsman, although he has run his own factory and also carried out the business field, but he also has his own pasture, which is the fundamental. His heart, his soul, is always here, and his people belong here. Since you are a herdsman, you must think about what the herder thinks, and do what the herder should do and can do. The era of picking up garbage is probably over, and cleanliness and cleanliness on the surface are no longer a major problem. Now, we have to find a way to do something more meaningful, to fundamentally solve some of the big problems in the ecological barriers of the Yellow River Basin.

Where to start? Dolma Gabu felt that he should consult carefully with an expert. He suddenly remembered a young man named Hua Erzang. He met in 2004 in Ruoerge County, Aba Prefecture, Sichuan Province. This young man who graduated from Tibet University has been engaged in ecological environmental protection in Ruoerge County for many years, has rich experience in environmental protection and scientific governance methods, and is a trustworthy person. After understanding Dolma Gabu's ideas, Hua Erzang suggested that he focus on preventing grassland degradation and desertification of grasslands, especially the ecological restoration of desertified grasslands, which is difficult, effective, and of great significance. As soon as this suggestion was uttered, Dolma Gabu felt that it was on his heart.

In fact, dolma Gabu already had this aspect of consciousness many years ago, but he was not ready to take this aspect of things as his own career. By around 2007, dolma Gabu's family business and ranch had grown almost simultaneously. At most, there were more than a thousand sheep and three or four hundred cattle in the pasture. However, after the livestock increased, the grassland went wrong, and some of the more fragile grasslands soon revealed the ground and soon sanded quickly. In order to prevent the expansion of the desertification area, he had to use a wire fence to enclose the ecologically fragile grassland for grazing and fallow grazing to prevent cattle and sheep from entering and causing further damage. But it wasn't long before the same thing happened on other plots. Seeing that the desertification of his grassland was becoming more and more serious, the grass was shorter every year, and the flowers were less and less every year, and it became more and more ugly, Dolma Gabu began to panic a little in his heart, so he sent the animal husbandry bureau experts to the pasture and asked how to effectively prevent the continued desertification of the grassland.

Experts told him that if you want to fundamentally solve the problem, you must establish a good grass-livestock relationship, that is, how much grassland can only put as many cattle and sheep, and only by controlling livestock below the balance point can the ecology of the grassland maintain a virtuous circle. Based on the area of dolma Gabu's grassland, the expert calculated a livestock and grass balance point for him. Originally, his pasture could have raised more than 300 cattle and 500 sheep, but Dolma Gabu thought about it and sold most of the more than 1,000 cattle and sheep in the family, leaving only 200 sheep and 50 yaks. He didn't want so many cattle and sheep, he just wanted the grass on the prairie to grow well. As a result, in the autumn, the grass in his family's pasture grew to almost a man's height, and every summer, many black-necked cranes would come to his pasture to nest.

Dolma Gabu began to try to plant trees and grass on the sandy grassland on the banks of the Yellow River. April in the plateau is a threshold of the seasons, and after crossing this threshold, the spring sunshine and rain are ushered in. After a winter of preparation and brewing, Dolma Gabu had waited a little anxiously. He looked forward to the early arrival of spring, so that he could express and express his thoughts and wishes on the sand as soon as possible.

There is a huge sand hill on the bank of the Yellow River, 20 kilometers from Awancang, which has been expanding rapidly in recent years. That was Dolma Gabu's greatest concern, and the first goal of sand control was undoubtedly to choose there. The first time he declared war on Shagang, Dolma Gabu was full of confidence and personally brought more than 20 people from the factory and a group of relatives and friends to Shagang. I thought that A day or two would solve the "battle". However, when he came to the scene and stood at the highest point of the sand dune to evaluate, he knew that the area of these tens of acres was riveted, and it would take at least a week. Do it! Don't say tens of acres, that is, hundreds of acres, this year we must also take it down. As long as you bend down and make enough strength, you are not afraid to subdue it. Dolma Gabu took up the hammer and excavated, and the crowd followed suit. Where the dust and sand lifted, a group of people began to work with their backs to the sky facing the dirt, leaning down again and again, straightening up again and again, and leaning down again and again, like peasants worshiping the land, religiously handing over grass seeds and sweat along with green wishes to this sandy land that had not yet been domesticated like the Candys yak. For six days, they sprinkled more than 1,000 catties of grass seeds on the sand hill.

After the grass seeds are sown, it is waiting, waiting for the rain to fall, waiting for the grass seeds to sprout and spit green. Every few days, Dolma Gabu drives over to take a look. Soon after a spring rain fell, a furry green appeared on the sand. The dense grass buds arched dolma Gabu's heart. "Success!" He cried out in his heart. This time, you can take care of the things in the factory with peace of mind, and when the summer comes, come back to admire the emerald green of the slope! Fast forward two months, and it wasn't until August that he got out of his daily work and drove to see the grass. As a result, he did not see the green onions he had imagined, and when he looked far away, he was still greeted by a scorched yellow. Why is that? When he got closer, he found that the grass that had grown to the length of a finger had been scorched by the scorching sand, leaving a ridge of wreckage that had lost its moisture and green. The First World War was lost, and the expectation of half a year and the good opportunity of the year were missed!

In order to succeed in the battle again, the next year Dolma Gabu specially invited Walzang to formulate a sound plan and conduct on-site guidance. This time, they played a set of combination punches. Pelagic grass, oats and plateau willow are planted together and mixed together. The seeds of Phi Alkali Grass were brought from Ruoerge by Huaerzang, the willow tree is the most viable species in the local area, and the willow seedlings have a complete root system, and the cost of oats, although higher, is a famous Kesha master. The planting method also adds difficulty, and trees and grasses must not only "sit in water" to plant, but also apply farm manure. In this way, the willow trees that keep alive give shade to the wheat and grass, avoiding the scorching of the sun and sand; the oats can cover the grass and let them successfully pass the fragile period of life, once the grass is alive and grows, but the most difficult master - wind and sand and drought are not afraid.

This time it was really successful. This time, the 2,000 red willow saplings and 2,000 kilograms of grass seeds he planted on the sand gangs have turned into the green that will not be extinguished by the Yellow River, and the once bare hills have become trees and grasses, a derivative of life.

Shagang is like a green ecological flag, flying in the core area of Awancang Wetland, indicating the victory of mankind's concept of ecological protection and the upgrading of the ecological protection awareness of surrounding herders. The successful management of the first sandy land has given the image of Dolma Gabu a new height in the hearts of herders. As a result, herders kept coming to him to ask for advice on the experience of controlling grassland degradation and desertification, and some simply invited Dolma Gabu to his own grassland to control sand. The 19 herders of the three teams of Ou qiong in Euler Township united to elect representatives to Awancang to invite Dolma Gabu. In response to the desertification area that spanned several grasslands, Dolma Gabu adopted the method used on the Yellow River, and the result was successful, and in less than two years, the grassland had completely returned to its original appearance. Due to the temporary suspension of grazing, the grass growth is even more vigorous than in other areas.

From 2015 to 2020, Yu Chenghui did not know how many times He came to Awancang, but Yu Chenghui made a special trip to the ranch to see him 4 times and he clearly remembered, and he also clearly remembered every situation and what was said to him. In particular, the on-site meeting held in his village in 2016 has become a spiritual motivation to motivate him to firmly follow the road of ecological protection. Over the years, whenever he felt the thinness, loneliness and confusion of his personal strength, he would remember the words that Yu Chenghui said to him: "You are the representative of our Gannan people, and the things you are trying to achieve are also our Ideals and Ambitions of Gannan!" Do a good job, I will support you in any difficulties! Every time he thinks about it, he can truly feel that he is not alone in his own struggle and fighting for the ecology of the source of the Yellow River.

Yes, Awancang Wetland, which is the water source of the people of the whole country, is an important ecological protection barrier in the upper reaches of the Yellow River, not only Dolma Gabu is paying attention to it in his heart, Gannan Prefecture, Gansu Province and even the whole country are paying attention to it. In fact, in the vast area that Dolma Gabu cannot witness, a huge ecological protection plan has long been quietly advancing. During the "13th Five-Year Plan" period alone, the National Development and Reform Commission and other relevant ministries and commissions have approved a series of plans and programs for ecological protection. Compared with the national level, the 200,000 to 300,000 yuan of money that Dolma Gabu takes out from his personal account every year for voluntary tree planting and grass planting can be described as a drop in the ocean, although it is small, it also shines with the light of responsibility and mission.

From 2013 to 2020, Maqu County has also continuously increased investment in desertified land, "black soil beach", the treatment of degraded grassland, the reward and compensation for returning grazing to grassland, the slope protection of the Yellow River embankment, the greening and solidification of the river basin, the treatment of random mining and digging of rivers, the prevention and control of rat infestation, etc., so that 2.65 million mu of fragile grasslands have been banned from grazing; 10.23 million mu of grassland has achieved the balance of livestock and grass after grazing reduction, 102,100 mu of desertified grassland and 876,000 mu of degraded grassland have been restored, 100 Square kilometers of national desertification land closure protection areas were established... The people who promote this large series of figures that change every year and every day are not only Dolma Gabu himself, but also so many administrative personnel who are busy with the production and life of the county and the normal operation of various institutions every day, so many project designers and promoters, so many local or foreign scientific and technological personnel and engineering and technical personnel, so many people who work the wetlands like Dolma Gabu - more than 1,000 ecological rangers, more than 100 grassland stewards, More than 300 animal quarantine workers as well as professional and amateur people who work to protect the environment without an exact number. When the water of the Yellow River becomes rich and clear, the sky becomes blue, and the grassland becomes prosperous and gorgeous, everyone's face will be hidden behind the beautiful scenery of the plateau, and the glory will always belong only to this plateau.

In the past few years when Dolma Gabu was immersed in the desertification treatment of the Awancang Wetland and achieved gratifying results, Gannan Prefecture was constantly changing. Some people describe it as "earth-shattering", and some people disagree, believing that such a statement is too vulgar and inappropriate, and it should be said that "the world has changed". Those who do not know think that this is the praise of the Gannan people; the insider understands the speaker's mood very well, and responds with a smile of understanding and wan'er. This smile is rich in connotation, with elements of identity and pride.

By the end of 2020, the construction of ecological civilization villages in Gannan Prefecture that is compatible with the "environmental revolution", or derived from the "environmental revolution", has been completed by more than 50%. It seems that one after another well-off villages have risen from the ground without noticing, and the farms, pastoral music, and well-off villages with national characteristics have unquestionably supported the tremendous changes in the lives of the vast number of farmers and herdsmen from the inside out.

Suddenly, Da Luo has been moving into the new home for two years. For two years, he hadn't changed his expression—he smiled whenever he was awake. His wife, who was on the sidelines, could testify that she hadn't seen him sad since moving into her new home. Da Luo's wife has typical Tibetan woman characteristics, tending to be restrained and shy, and when her husband talks to others, she basically adopts an avoidant and non-participatory attitude, and most of the time she looks down. But when it came to her husband's expression, she still couldn't help but interject. Like other languages, there are some expressions that are not translatable and can only be understood. The general meaning of her words is that her husband's life is basically two faces, one in the first half of his life, which is sorrow; in the past few years, one is joy and clear. When asked why Da Luo was like this and how his life was now, Da Luo was still smiling, but this smile was larger and had a little brighter taste. Da Luo does not say highly general but very abstract words like "the world has been turned upside down" or "changed the world". He sat up straight and told a long story slowly.

Da Luo may be a natural chronic child. Looking at him, he looks like a yak grazing, not flustered, not disturbed by the outside world or other people's emotions. When he first came from his hometown in Qinghai to dig up cordyceps on the grass hill of Awancang, it was estimated that it was the same as it is now. Whether it's windy or rainy, whether others are scrambling or grabbing, whether they're walking or running, whether they're on this hill or that hill, walking alone or together, and whatever's going on in the distance, he always seems to be a rhythm, a state, a fixed route. Don't rush to find, don't rush to dig, dig without the excitement of dancing, and don't dig up and don't get frustrated.

At that time, there were many cordyceps on the mountains here, and people who had come before said that every "digging season" could dig a lot and make a lot of money. At that time, the price of cordyceps was low, 5 cents per stick, and now 20 yuan per stick, it is simply too cheap, but the income is not low, and the number of large exchanges for more income. Many of the people who dig cordyceps come from other places, and if they want to dig up cordyceps and pay a certain fee to the local herders, they can freely dig. Because there is a large cost, you can only make money by digging a certain amount. Under normal circumstances, making money is not a problem, but the situation of Da Luo is not a general situation.

Maybe it's bad luck, maybe it's not familiar with the terrain, maybe it's not flexible enough, maybe it's not sharp enough eyes, others can always dig a lot anyway, and Da Luo digs very little. Years later, Da Luo attributed the reason why he didn't dig up too many cordyceps to his eyes not being "sharp" enough. He recalled that once another person digging cordyceps stood behind Da Luo and watched Da Luo dig up the cordyceps, but the cordyceps that Da Luo did not see on the ground was seen by the man.

When Da Luo came to Awancang to dig cordyceps, he was a relative who defected to work in the county town, temporarily settled down, and when he dug up the cordyceps, he immediately returned home to resume his life or "returned to his hometown". However, it is a bit embarrassing not to dig up so many cordyceps. The digging season is over, and Da Luo takes stock of the total income, and in addition to paying the rancher's pasture fee, it is not enough to pay for the way home. What to do? Relatives are kind and kind: "Who let us be relatives!" Well, don't go back, you can live with me temporarily for half a year, go outside to do some odd jobs, and earn some living expenses. Dig another year in the season of digging cordyceps next year, and maybe you will be lucky enough to take the money back to your hometown. ”

The following year, the rancher's fees rose to $3,000. Da Luo searched for cordyceps for two months, and not only did not make money, but also lost 600 yuan. This time, I have no face to see Jiangdong's father and elder. Relatives have a clever move, simply introduce a object to Da Luo to settle down here. So, Da Luo and Pukao met in 2001. This pair of partners who used to dig cordyceps in a grassland did not meet each other in the past, and did not have the opportunity to meet and spend romantic time on the grass mountain; after that, because of the arrangement of fate, they had to stay together in marriage, and they did not abandon the difficult years of hand in hand.

According to Tibetan customs, a bachelor who is far away from his hometown should have entered the woman's family, become a door-to-door son-in-law, and live with this big family. But the marriage between Da Luo and Pu Kao is a little strange, and Da Luo goes around a big circle, separating Pu Kao from the original family alone and forming a small family that is independent in economy and life. When they got married, Da Luo's relatives living in Maqu County played the role of in-laws, sending a car to take Pukao from the ranch to the city for a circle, even if he married into the in-laws. Then the couple returned from the city to Pukao's home in the ranch, and together they moved into the tent next to Pukao's mother's house, and completed the formation of a small family.

Pukau's native family members are numerous, including parents and five siblings. After getting married, her parents gave her the 200 acres of pasture and 20 cows that Puka deserved when she was at home, which was the couple's entire property. Since Da Luo was a complete proletarian, the couple could only live with these 20 cows. At first, the couple's life was still passable. The so-called passability is just enough to eat, adding a piece of clothing, buying a piece of furniture and even buying a few pairs of chopsticks and bowls. Of course, I don't dare to have children. 20 head of cattle, for a herdsman, the base is too small, sell one less, the opportunity to turn over in the future will be less, so you can only sell one or two a year. The couple discussed that these two years should first live too tightly, let the 20 cows breed for two years, and then sell the extra when the number is a little more, change some money, buy a little daily necessities, and then give birth to a doll... As soon as the words fell, the following spring came. Spring is the season when all things grow, and it is also the season when viruses and germs breed in large quantities. But this spring there is no special growth, but the virus has begun a large-scale outbreak, causing a large-scale plague. One by one, the 20 yaks of the Da Luo family died, and only two remained.

Originally there was still a little light in life, and this time it was completely into darkness. Two people who were so destitute that they couldn't even eat. If you want to work, there are still 30 kilometers away from the nearest Awancang town, don't ask if you can get there, that is, the 30 kilometers without transportation and no road are difficult to cross. If you don't work part-time, what do you rely on to earn money on this grassland? Low insurance. The two outright proletarians and the incomeless people smoothly became the low-income households in the village; the insufficient part could only rely on the help of The Parents of Pukao. Receiving help is not to die of hunger, where can you be full? The couple sometimes had a simple dinner, and there was no longer a handful of barley noodles and a grain of ghee at home, and when they couldn't sleep, they had to think about how to solve tomorrow's breakfast. Speaking of sleep, it is impossible to sleep a decent sleep. There was never a decent futon in the tent, covered with the same tibetan robe that Pukao's parents had made when they got married. The other seasons are easy to deal with, but in the winter, it is really sad, the north wind blows, and the thin tent is cold to the bone marrow.

The roof leaked and it rained. In the fourth year of marriage, they accidentally gave birth to their eldest son; after a few years, they accidentally gave birth to a younger son. The family of two was difficult to maintain, and two more mouths were added to the table in a few years. After the birth of the child, parents and relatives pay more attention to the family, and from time to time they will send some food and clothing.

It is said that Da Luo's personality is like a yak because he has extraordinary endurance than ordinary people. Even if he was so miserable, he did not go to the village or the township, and buried his head and stood firm. One year, on the eve of the Spring Festival, the village party secretary heard the villagers say that the Da Luo family was living in poverty, and specially brought some condolences to come and see. When I came in and saw this scene, the tears came down. Putting down the things in his hand, he searched all over his body, even the coins were searched out, and he made up more than 700 yuan and gave it to Pu kao without leaving a penny. Da Luo said that during the Spring Festival of that year, I felt that it was the happiest Spring Festival in my life.

Faced with such a difficult day, Pukao secretly did not know how many times he secretly cried. She had constantly complained about fate in her heart, and in this life she had let herself meet a man who had no ability. Many times, she thought of divorce, but her parents firmly opposed: "A woman who keeps her husband and family in peace is the minimum morality." Besides, you still have two children, and you can't divorce them in terms of the children's scores! ”

The difficulties of Da luo and Pukao were widely concerned in 2015. That year, Gannan Prefecture carried out the work of "no garbage in the whole region", and cadres needed to guarantee all villages and herdsmen, all-round, full coverage, and no household was left behind. When the cadres entered the house and arrived at Luo's house, they were stunned by the dirty and simple nature of the family. But the cadres came for a clean and hygienic environment, and the first thing they did was to mobilize Da Luo and Pu Kao to pay attention to personal and environmental hygiene. At the very least, you must dress neatly, see the true colors, arrange your belongings in an orderly manner, and remove all kinds of garbage inside and outside the house... Listening to the cadres' explanations one by one, Pu kao was not only silent and indifferent, but also sat there crying. The cadres had no choice but to help clean up by themselves. I was busy inside and out for most of the day, doing everything they thought they should do. But looking back, the home still felt dirty and dilapidated, and it seemed that their half-hour labor had not produced any effect.

Several people seemed to understand at once why Pukao was crying and not moving, because how to clean up would not have an effect. It turned out to be a problem at the root and at the bottom. Yes, even if you are diligent, strong, and capable, can you wipe out a tent that is about to rot? Can you rub the texture of the walls from the cow dung mud out of the bricks? Can you wipe the dirt floor without dust? Later, when listening to Yu Chenghui at a video conference of cadres throughout the state, "to destroy the momentum of decay, hurt the bones, and seek the change of rebirth", they seemed to better understand the deep meaning and future orientation of "no garbage in the whole region"; they also knew more about the difficulty of eliminating "visual poverty" and "visual garbage". Without fundamental changes in the bones, in the soul, and within, there would be no reliable, long-lasting visual changes. If we do not abandon the backward lifestyle, living conditions and thinking concepts that have been maintained for a long time, there can be no essential changes, let alone rebirth.

The change began in 2015. In view of the difficulties of Da Luo and Pu Kao, Maqu County first started from his source of livelihood and arranged a public welfare post for the couple as a cleaner. With income, there is the ability and desire to live a good life; after that, two children are arranged to go to school. This is the fundamental way out of this family, if the child is so abandoned, no culture, no knowledge, will come to the age of independent living, no will to live independently, no assets or capital, no way out of the pasture, do not recognize Tibetan, do not understand Chinese, do not have the ability to communicate with the outside world, not even the opportunity to work, what to rely on to maintain life? What does it take to change your life and destiny? In 2017, after the implementation of the national precision poverty alleviation strategy, the Da Luo family was identified as a card household, and the economic subsidies were further increased, and the life was more improved.

The real "rebirth" of the Da Luo family is after the family moved out of the ranch in 2019 and entered the new home of the centralized relocation site. That year, the state mobilized herders on the grassland to move out of the pastoral area, "let the children go to school, let the elderly care for the elderly, and let the herders who have lived in the unsettled homes for generations have a house to live in", leaving only a small number of herders to watch over the cattle and sheep in the grassland. At that time, many people were unwilling to accept this arrangement, thinking that generations of people had come so far, there was no need to change, compared with large cities, the conditions in pastoral areas were very backward, but they did not feel that there was anything wrong, children were illiterate and did not delay grazing, and the elderly could stand up if they did not live in good houses. "If you don't treat suffering as suffering, you won't be bitter, if you don't treat poverty as poor, you won't be poor, if you don't treat dirt, you won't be dirty... Is it just for environmental hygiene that we have moved out of the grasslands where we have lived for generations? But Da Luo and Pu Kao did not say that the first registration request was to move. They truly understand the pain of being mired in the mire – wanting to "get out" without a way, wanting to "knock" without a door. If they had a choice, they would never want to return to that helpless predicament for eternity.

For the Da Luo family, who have been living in a thin, damp tent for 20 years, the big house they built for only 30,000 yuan is like a palatial palace. A large courtyard covering an area of one acre, the gate of Qi Yu Xuan Ang is built free of charge by the "public house"; there is a main room and a side room in the courtyard, the main room is a hall for guests and daily activities, the side room is a bedroom for husband and wife and two children; there is also a water flushing toilet and a bathing room... On the day they first moved in, the couple was blindfolded, and it felt like everything was not reality, like a dream. Not only is the house spacious and bright, but everything inside is readily available, how can everything be ready-made? Sofas, coffee tables, delicate cast iron stoves, stainless steel kettles for boiling water, brand new futons, towels and soap... The most unexpected thing for them was two plates of bread.

After moving into the new house, the couple came back from cleaning work in the community every day and cleaned the house over and over again. In particular, Pucao, the items in the house are wiped several times a day, and the stove and kettle that are already spotless are wiped with a rag as long as there is nothing to do. The husband finished the work outside, entered the house to see, Pu kao is still wiping the east and west, the husband knows the wife's thoughts, did not want to say, but still came this sentence: "Wipe what?" Are you enjoying wiping things? So Pukau smiled with the expression he had when he first got married. With this laugh, the room and the days seemed to become brighter. (To be continued)
