1 million years ago, there were already human activities in Jiangsu and Zhejiang, and the ancestors of humanities left behind the figures and legends of the spreading civilization here. From 10,000 years ago, the Neolithic culture developed in this land, the Liangzhu culture period reached its peak, and when the Xia Shang Empire in the Middle Plains arose, the Yue people who grew up here developed the ancient Yue Kingdom of diligent cultivation. After the Qin unified China, this Yue homeland was incorporated into the imperial territory, from Qin to Tang, through the song, yuan, Ming, and Qing dynasties, the prosperous land of the two Zhejiang gradually became the southeast leader. The historical evolution over the past thousand years can be seen in the colorful cultural relics exhibits of the Zhejiang Provincial Museum.
The exhibition hall of "Yuedi Long Song - Zhejiang History and Culture Exhibition" is located on the ground floor of the Wulin Pavilion area of Zhejiang Provincial Museum, and is divided into five parts: "Dawn of Civilization", "Ancient Yue Kingdom", "Three Wu Metropolis", "Southeast Leader" and "Prosperous Two Zhejiang". The exhibition is dominated by the cultural character of Zhejiang's "diligent cultivation", and pays attention to the exquisite and atmospheric display style, which is restrained and full of tension. A total of about 2,000 cultural relics (groups) are exhibited, combining scene restoration, model reproduction, picture creation, multimedia audio-visual and other modern means, showing people the unique charm of Zhejiang in different historical stages.
