Origin of the nickname "Rabbit"
In fact, CRH3C and CRH380B shape is a dolphin streamline shape, but after the 3C comes out, because the tow hook is exposed outside the car, people look like a rabbit with a lollipop in the mouth, and its shape is also very similar to the rabbit's head, so the train fans gave it the nickname of "rabbit", and the CRH380B shape is basically the same as CRH3C, and the CRH380B series also follows the nickname of "rabbit".

CRH380B
CRH380B electric MULTIPLE unit is a CRH series of high-speed EMUs independently developed by China CNR Group Tangshan Rail Bus Co., Ltd. and Changchun Railway Bus Co., Ltd. on the basis of CRH3C electric MULTIPLE units, and is also one of the key projects of the "China High-speed Train Independent Innovation Joint Action Plan", and will develop a CIT400B test vehicle with a speed of 400 kilometers per hour on this basis.
Rabbit family
CRH380B adopts dolphin head streamlined shape, which is significantly shorter than the CRH380A and CRH380D head length, but the rounded shape effectively reduces wind resistance. CRH380B with white as the body, black windows, door windows for the round, compared to other models of the side is more exquisite, the following photos are the 380 series of models side, you can compare it.

In September 2008, the CRH3-350 EMU began the preliminary research and development stage, and at the same time raised the design standard of the vehicle, the maximum speed was increased from 350 km/h to 380 km/h, the project name was CRH3-380; the one-way travel time of the train on the Beijing-Shanghai high-speed railway could be further shortened from the original planned 5 hours to 4 hours. After the standard change, the product design work of the new generation of EMUs was officially launched on January 27, 2009.
The origin of the 380B and CRH3C can be seen from the early naming of CRH3-350
In June 2009, the Ministry of Railways of the People's Republic of China solicited a total of 320 high-speed EMUs with a speed of 350 kilometers per hour from domestic EMU manufacturers, and China CNR Group received orders for 100 EMUs, of which 80 were listed as new-generation CRH3-380 EMUs, including 40 trains of 16 EMUs and 40 trains of 8 EMUs, manufactured by Changchun Rail Bus Co., Ltd. [7]. On September 28, 2009, the Ministry of Railways, Changchun Rail Coach Co., Ltd. and Beijing Railway Bureau officially signed a contract in Beijing with a total value of 23.5 billion yuan. Deliveries of the EMU are scheduled to begin in April 2011, with all 80 EMUs to be delivered in June 2012.
The 380B series has become another entanglement between the Ministry of Railways and Siemens
Since the Chinese official did not mention Siemens' participation in the news of the signing of the contract, the next day the Ministry of Railways only published on the website the news that "a hundred domestically produced new generation high-speed EMUs will be launched on the Beijing-Shanghai high-speed railway in 2011". By March 20, germany's Siemens Group published information on its website, saying that "Tangshan Rail Bus Co., Ltd., Changchun Rail Bus Co., Ltd., China Academy of Railways and Siemens signed a contract to provide 100 high-speed trains, and Siemens received a share worth 750 million euros", at this time, the German "Business Daily" also quoted Siemens insiders as talking, Siemens said "will not and will not sell the core technology." On March 25, the Ministry of Railways publicly responded that "no contract has been signed with Siemens recently", and the situation has almost evolved into a public relations crisis starring the Ministry of Railways and Siemens, triggering many speculations. On March 31, a media spokesperson for Siemens Mobility Group said in response to the media that the contract for 100 EMUs has indeed been signed, and the trains will be mainly produced in China. The details of the contract on technology transfer were not disclosed in detail. In fact, according to the bidding rules of the Ministry of Railways, in principle, the Ministry of Railways cannot directly sign contracts with foreign investors. Therefore, after the signing of the agreement on March 16, China CNR Co., Ltd. will subcontract the production share of parts that cannot be produced domestically to Siemens, and Siemens can obtain orders for about 750 million euros (about 7 billion yuan) by providing electric traction systems, etc.
On May 27, 2010, the first CRH3-380 train completed the trial production of the prototype, and was first displayed to the outside world in the Rail Transit Equipment Manufacturing Industrial Park of Luyuan District, Changchun City, Jilin Province, and held the "new generation of high-speed EMUs" Harmony "380A off the line" ceremony, and held the completion ceremony of the first phase of the changke high-speed vehicle manufacturing base. Note that the code name of 380A appears here, in fact, it is mentioned in the previous chapter because CRH380A, B, C, D are named in order of the operation time of the line, and the long customer is the first to get the name of the 380A.
IN ORDER TO GRAB THE NAME OF CRH380A THAT YEAR CAN BE DESCRIBED AS "PAINSTAKING"
CRH380B marshalling mode is 4M4T, power on wheel 9200KW, continuous operation speed of 380km/h, a total production of 353 trains, is china's high-speed EMU production of the largest number of models, and in the allocation, Shanghai Railway Bureau is the most equipped railway bureau, so the dynamic bureau has the title of "rabbit nest". The allocation table is as follows (due to the excessive number, I will not list them all)

CRH380BG
Harmony CRH380BG series (non-unified) EMU is china's second-generation CRH EMU developed by Tangshan Locomotive and Rolling Stock Co., Ltd. and Changchun Rail Bus Co., Ltd. on the basis of CRH3C EMU and independent innovation.
CRH380BG Alpine Rabbit
In 2013, the Ministry of Railways stipulated that the subsequent production of EMUs are unified EMUs, the most significant gap between the unified CRH380BG and the non-unified type is the position of the door and the LED display, the non-unified CRH380BG door is all close to the car connection, and the LED display of the unified CRH380BG separates the door and the carriage connection.
As an alpine model, the CRH380BG fully takes into account the normal operation under the cold and bad weather in the northern (especially the northeast) region, and can maintain normal operation at -40 °, which and the Fuxing CR400BF-G support the heavy burden of high-speed rail passenger transportation in the northern region.

CRH380BG produces a total of 157 trains, which are basically assigned to the Northern Railway Bureau and serve as passenger transport in harsh climates, and the specific allocation table is as follows

On January 9, 2011, the CRH380B-6402L EMU using a special test group (8M4T) once again conducted an operational test of the Xuzhou-Bengbu pilot section of the Beijing-Shanghai high-speed railway. At 5 p.m. on the same day, the train departed from Xuzhou East Railway Station, reached 380 km /h within 6 minutes of starting, and created a maximum test speed of 487.3 km/h at 5:15, breaking the test speed of 486.1 km/h maintained by CRH380AL.
Today, the CRH380B-6402L, which resumed normal marshalling, has been renamed CRH380BL-3502 and is assigned to the Shanghai Railway Bureau to continue to carry out passenger tasks.

Recall events
Since the opening of the Beijing-Shanghai high-speed railway in June 2011, the CRH380BL EMU produced by China CNR Changke Co., Ltd. has continuously suffered from thermal axle alarm false alarm, automatic bow lowering, traction loss and other faults.
On August 11, 2011, CHINA CNR submitted to the Ministry of Railways the "Report on the Recall of CRH380BL EMU", and requested the Ministry of Railways to agree to recall 54 major CRH380BL EMUs produced by its subsidiaries and put into operation on the basis of the CRH380BL EMU produced by Changke Co., Ltd., and then returned them to use after rectification, and after CNR recalled the Beijing-Shanghai high-speed EMUs, the Ministry of Railways sharply reduced the number of Beijing-Shanghai trains by a quarter. CSR Group also urgently requisitioned 21 EMUs, and in September 2011, the 66 groups of operating trains of the Beijing-Shanghai high-speed railway were all 380A and 380AL models, the former was an 8-car group, and the latter was a 16-car long group.
Affected by the train recall, the railway department had to adjust the operation map, and the number of Beijing-Shanghai high-speed rail trains was reduced from 88 pairs to 66 pairs. If the CRH380BL EMU gradually returns, there is no need to adjust the map; if the 54 large-scale CRH380BL EMUs return at one time, the Beijing-Shanghai high-speed railway must adjust the map.
The CRH380BL recall is not a quality problem, but the automatic protection device is too sensitive, which was solved by NORTH LOCOMOTIVE and Siemens
On November 14, 2011, the Ministry of Railways said that CHINA CNR has carried out serious rectification of the recalled CRH380BL EMUs, and after test verification, third-party evaluation and expert review, it has been confirmed that the rectification is qualified and will be put into operation in batches from November 16, 2011.
CRH380BL produces a total of 151 trains, which are assigned to Shanghai, Xi'an, Beijing, Jinan and Zhengzhou Railway Bureaus, and the specific allocation table is as follows

CRH380CL
The Harmony CRH380CL EMU is a sister model of the CRH380BL series of high-speed EMUs. The origin of the "shark" nickname, refer to the following figure:
Shark head
The origin of the "shark" nickname is that its head resembles a shark's head
In 2009, Changke obtained the order for 40 long-term group CRH380BL, and Changke re-innovated the design of 25 of the 40-train long-marshalling EMUs, which adopted a newly developed new head type, and the lead system did not use Siemens system, but used Hitachi traction system.
The 380CL simply experimented with the new head type and the desire to combine all the advantages of the CRH380A and CRH380B. But unfortunately, CRH380CL integrates all the shortcomings of CRH30AL and BL, and even the non-unified wall phenomenon is inherited, but it does not inherit the advantages, because it is no longer produced after only 25 columns.
The car was briefly assigned to the Jinan Railway Bureau, but because the maintenance cost of this model was too high, it was transferred to the Shanghai Railway Bureau. Now it is assigned to the Beijing Railway Bureau and the Shanghai Railway Bureau, and the allocation table is as follows:
CRH380CL companion diagram
Postscript: In the high-speed EMUs, the CRH380B series is the most equipped model, with a total of more than 500 trains. Because of its alpine model BG, most of the railway bureaus in the country have its presence.
The former Ministry of Railways named all China Railway High-Speed (CRH) vehicles that developed key technologies on their own, introduced foreign technologies, and jointly designed and produced "Harmony".
At this point, the trunk line EMU CRH series has all been introduced, and in the next issue, we will begin to understand the Chinese standard EMU CR Fuxing series.
