It is reported that Xu Furong is the only nursing staff in the health system of Hunan Province to be awarded the national commendation of "National Advanced Individual in Fighting the New Crown Pneumonia Epidemic and National Outstanding Communist Party Member". On February 11, 2020, Xu Furong went to Huanggang, Hubei Province, to fight the epidemic, serving as the head nurse of the Hunan Exclusive Intensive Care Department of the Huanggang Dabie Mountain Regional Medical Center supported by Hunan, leading the team to treat seriously ill patients; as a member of the China (Hunan) anti-epidemic expert group and nursing expert, Xu Furong went to Africa again on May 11, 2020, working in Zimbabwe and Equatorial Guinea for one month, introducing the experience and practices of epidemic prevention and control in the mainland to local medical staff, and supervising the nursing work of local COVID-19 patients. Zhu Xingen, an advanced individual in the national fight against the new crown pneumonia epidemic, an outstanding communist party member in the country, the leader of the first batch of medical teams in Jiangxi Province, and the deputy secretary of the party committee and vice president of the Second Affiliated Hospital of Nanchang University, will also participate in the torch relay of the Beijing Winter Olympics as the only torchbearer in Jiangxi Province. According to Jiangxi Traffic Radio, on January 18, the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games Organizing Committee officially notified Zhu Xingen to become a torchbearer.
