At 10:00 a.m. on August 23, 2019, the opening ceremony of the Ruicheng Yellow River Bridge in the Yunbao section of the Hubei Expressway was held at the toll station of the Ruicheng Yellow River Bridge, and the Official Opening of the Yellow River Bridge in Ruicheng was officially announced. On that day, many citizens drove in line to wait for the opening moment.
Yuncheng to Lingbao Expressway Yunbao Yellow River Bridge is an important component of the western longitudinal of the expressway planning network of our province "three vertical, twelve horizontal and twelve rings", and is also an important node of the G59 North-South Vertical Line of the National Expressway Planning Network from Hohhot to Beihai, from Ruicheng County across the Yellow River into Henan, connecting the Sanhuai Expressway and forming a four-way interconnection with the Lianhuo Expressway. The total length of the bridge is 1690 meters, the width of the bridge is 32 meters, 6 lanes in both directions, and the design speed is 80 kilometers per hour.
It is understood that on November 27, 2018, the Henan section of the Shanxi Yuncheng to Henan Lingbao Expressway was completed and passed the acceptance of the delivery and had the conditions for opening. Since the charging standard of the Shanxi border road section has not been approved, in order to ensure the synchronous opening of the two provinces, the project has not been officially operated after completion.
The completion and opening of this section of the road has opened up the inter-provincial corridor between southwest Jinxi and northwest Henan, provided convenient and efficient transportation conditions for strengthening regional economic and cultural exchanges and developing advantageous resources along the route, and added fresh impetus to helping Shanxi Province win the battle against poverty and build a well-off society in an all-round way.
