On January 29, it was reported that the first batch of production line verification prototypes of WEILAI ET5 were officially rolled off the production line in Hefei, and the related production and manufacturing work was also being promoted in an orderly manner.

Before the mass production of NIO ET5, the verification of the construction vehicle was crucial. It is reported that the test and verification work of WEIRA ET5 mainly includes three major tasks: optimizing the production line process, verifying the functional integrity of the vehicle, and verifying the attributes and performance of the vehicle. In the process, engineers can identify potential problems and continuously optimize and refine them, as well as impose more stringent requirements on components and manufacturing processes.

As a new pure electric four-door coupe under NIO, NIO ET5 has many highlights in terms of appearance, configuration and power.

In terms of exterior design, NIO ET5 offers a total of 9 body colors, including three exclusive colors (Mirror Air Powder, Cloud First Yellow, And Aerospace Blue). In terms of configuration, NIO ET5 is equipped with NIO panoramic digital cockpit, equipped with 12.8-inch central touch screen and full LCD dashboard; the whole series is equipped with Aquila NIO supersensitive system and ADAM NIO supercomputing platform, equipped with NIO's latest generation of automatic driving system NAD. In terms of power and endurance, the car is equipped with a dual-motor intelligent four-wheel drive system, with a maximum power of 360 kilowatts, a peak torque of 700 Nm, an acceleration of 4.3 seconds per 100 kilometers, and a maximum endurance of more than 1,000 kilometers.
