All 320 volunteers from the National Alpine Ski Center were on duty

Yanqing, 29 Jan (Xinhua) -- All 320 volunteers from the National Alpine Ski Center recently arrived at their posts to gather at the top of the mountain to welcome the ice and snow journey.

On the 28th, as the sun rose from Xiaohaituo Mountain, volunteers inside and outside the ring shouted the volunteer slogan of "Together to the Future".

Li Guangyu, volunteer manager of the National Alpine Ski Center, introduced that the volunteers are mainly from Tsinghua University, Beihang University, Beijing Second Foreign Chinese College, School of International Relations, Beijing University of Chemical Technology and other universities. "Volunteers are a very important force in the service of our venues, and the service areas are very complete, including competition organization, media operation, venue operation, audience service and other important content. When all volunteers arrive, they will begin to make final preparations and training for the racetime service. Li Guangyu said.

With all the volunteers on duty, the National Alpine Ski Center Volunteer Home was officially opened. "The first time I came to the National Alpine Ski Center, the first thing I felt was shock." Wei Peihan, a graduate student of Beijing Second Chinese College, will be responsible for the reception and leadership of the winter Olympic family members and VIPs as the concierge assistant of the venue during the competition. Seeing that there was enough food and water for the volunteers in the volunteer home, Wei Peihan was full of confidence in the volunteer work during the game. "Although we left home and left school to come to the competition area, the volunteers' food, clothing, shelter and transportation, including epidemic prevention materials, have been well guaranteed, so that we have no worries and can devote ourselves to volunteer work." Wei Peihan said.

Subsequently, the volunteers went to their posts under the leadership of the managers of various business areas to familiarize themselves with the overall environment and business field of the National Alpine Ski Center. According to the characteristics and requirements of the post, the managers of each business field also distributed support materials to the volunteers, carried out business and epidemic prevention training, and helped the volunteers familiarize themselves with the workflow line and adapt to the work as soon as possible.
