Cyberspace Administration of China: 87 apps account for more than 65% of IPv6 traffic

According to the website of the Cyberspace Administration of China, monitoring data shows that as of the end of December 2021, the number of active IPv6 users in the mainland reached 608 million, accounting for 60.11% of the total number of Internet users. The number of Internet of Things IPv6 connections reached 140 million, mobile network IPv6 traffic accounted for 35.15%, fixed network IPv6 traffic accounted for 9.38%, home wireless router IPv6 support rate reached 16%, government portal IPv6 support rate reached 81.8%, major business websites and mobile Internet applications IPv6 support rate reached 80.7%. The main annual indicators were exceeded and showed a good momentum of development. Monitoring shows that as of the end of December 2021, 200 mobile applications (APPS) used by mainland netizens with high frequency support IPv6 access, with an average IPv6 traffic accounting for 52.89%, of which 87 APP IPv6 traffic accounted for more than 65%.
