Canalys: Xiaomi shipped 50.5 million units in 2021, with a growth rate of the top three fastest brands

According to the latest data from Canalys, in 2021, the Chinese mainland smartphone market, with annual shipments of more than 333 million units, a slight increase of 1% year-on-year, compared with the pre-epidemic market in 2019 still shrank by more than 10%.

In terms of 2021 annual data, vivo, OPPO, and xiaomi ranked in the top three, of which Xiaomi shipped 50.5 million units in the whole year, an increase of 27% year-on-year, with a market share of 15%, and the growth rate was the top three fastest brands.

In the fourth quarter Chinese mainland market, with a year-on-year growth rate of 3%, Apple shipped 86.6 million units with the release of the iPhone 13 series, 21.5 million units, regaining the first crown since the first quarter of 2015.

OPPO (including OnePlus) continued its mid-to-high-end promotion strategy, ranking second with shipments of 14.3 million units. Honor maintained its third-quarter finish with 14.2 million units shipped in the fourth quarter.

Xiaomi's new flagship products increased month-on-month, shipping 13.5 million units, ranking fourth, the only brand to grow among domestic manufacturers. Vivo was affected by the pace of shipments, ranking fifth with shipments of 13.4 million units.
