On January 27, the Ministry of Transport held its regular January press conference. Liu Pengfei, spokesman of the Ministry of Transport, said that in the past year, the Winter Olympic Traffic Coordination Group led by the Ministry of Transport has coordinated the preparation of the Winter Olympics, and fully completed the key tasks such as the implementation of the Winter Olympic special lanes, the construction of temporary traffic stations, the construction of traffic command centers, and the formulation of guidelines for the prevention and control of the epidemic in the Winter Olympics.
First, the construction of the traffic command system during the race was completed. In accordance with the relevant requirements of "three competition areas, one standard" and "building a flat dispatching command system", the Beijing Winter Olympic Organizing Committee has strengthened integration with its territories, established the Beijing Winter Olympics Traffic Support Command and Dispatch Center and the Zhangjiakou Winter Olympics Traffic Support Command and Dispatch Center, and realized the centralized office and integrated scheduling of the Organizing Committee and the territories.
Second, the service guarantee force is in place as scheduled. More than 6,800 service vehicles and more than 13,000 drivers jointly raised by the Beijing Winter Olympics Organizing Committee, Beijing Municipality and Zhangjiakou City have all been in place. The State Railway Group has developed the 12306 Winter Olympics booking area and organized the formulation of the Winter Olympic train operation plan. The 510-kilometer special road network for the Winter Olympics in Beijing, Yanqing and Zhangjiakou was completed and fully opened on January 21.
Third, the early service guarantee is strong and orderly. From January 4 to 20, the Winter Olympics traffic will implement "small closed-loop" management, providing airport connections and special shuttles, taxis, chartered buses and other services for Olympic-related personnel who enter the Olympics in advance and between the station and the venues. From January 21, transportation services will be officially provided for those involved in the Olympic Games. Overall, the traffic operation is stable and the service guarantee is orderly.
Liu Pengfei said that in the next step, the Ministry of Transport will focus on key links such as the opening and closing ceremonies, the arrival and departure of Olympic-related personnel, and the transfer of athletes, strengthen transportation services, ensure that prevention and control are in place, guarantees are in place, services are in place, and responses are in place, so as to provide a strong transportation guarantee for holding a simple, safe and wonderful Olympic event.
