Live bar August 6, 2019 Today is the 59th birthday of the Knicks' legendary center and "King of New York" Patrick Ewing, let's wish him a happy birthday.
Ewing was drafted by the Knicks in 1985 and played for the Knicks for 15 seasons, playing in 1183 games in his career, averaging 21 points, 9.8 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 2.4 blocks per game.
Ewing played for the Knicks, Seattle SuperSonics and Orlando Magic in his career, where he finished with 24,815 points, 11,607 rebounds and 2,894 blocks.
After retiring from the military, Ewing served as an assistant coach for the Charlotte Hornets from 2013 to 2017, and since 2017, Ewing has been the coach of the men's basketball team at his alma mater, Georgetown University.
