President Sun, full name Sun Gencai, is the founder of the Dream Realization Volunteer Association in Nanxun District, Huzhou City, Zhejiang Province. In 2019, Liu Donghui came to seek help, and Sun Gencai ran for many years to find clues and put his blood samples in many places to compare. Sun Gencai, 67, is a veteran of Nanxun and a member of the Communist Party. Over the past eight years, he and his team of volunteers have volunteered to find relatives and have reunited 49 families. He always said that seeing others reunited was his greatest satisfaction.

In Sun Gencai's mobile phone, there are more than 60 WeChat groups, with personnel all over China. As soon as there is news of family search, everyone will send it to the group to spread to each other.
"Family searching may seem simple, but it's really difficult to do." Sometimes the search for a clue, Sun Gencai said, may be just a vague place name, a person's name, or even a milk name; there are no photos, phones, or even no memories.
Just like Lu Huating, who was reunited with his family with the help of Sun Gencai's team not long ago, the road to finding relatives has been more than 30 years. Relying on the clue of raising people in the middle of that year, Lü Huating successively went to Nanxun in Huzhou and Qidu in Wujiang to look for them.
"But the middleman passed away, and the clue was almost broken." Sun Gencai said that in 2018, after receiving a request for help from Lu Huating from Shandong, he and the volunteer team began to "find a needle in a haystack". Over the years, they have continuously disseminated Lu Huating's family search information to various groups, rushing to the scene to verify the situation as soon as they have a clue.
In September 2021, it was reported that there was a family in Shenzhuang yang village in Nanxun Town that was very similar to what Lu Huating said, and Sun Gencai rushed to it immediately after hearing about it, but due to demolition, the family had moved away. Sun Gencai spent a lot of time looking for it, and finally the good news came after the blood sample comparison and found Lu Huating's family.
On the day of the reunion of Lu Huating's family, Sun Gen turned his back and silently wiped away the tears of excitement. He said that he had taken many people's hands and walked through the haunting road home, but whenever he saw the scene of his relatives reuniting and crying with joy, his heart was still full of emotion.

"Over the years, I've found that most of the people who came looking for relatives were people from the 1950s. At that time, many families in Jiangsu and Zhejiang could not support several children, and they would send their children to be raised. Unlike trafficked children, the government does not have a unified gene pool or platform for them to find their relatives. Sun Gen knew that the best way to improve the efficiency of family searching was DNA comparison.
So, he made a decision: take out his pension and collect blood samples for the elderly in Nanxun who are over 70 years old.
In the face of Sun Gencai's approach, many people around him asked countless times, "When you are a volunteer, not for money or fame, why don't you rest for a few days, what is the picture?" Sun Gencai always replied, "Put on the volunteer costume, I am reluctant to take it off, I hope the last breath exhaled is in the post." ”
