I remember that the first book I read when I was a child was a color comic strip called "Grandpa with My Brain", which was bought for me by my eldest sister who was in college.

I didn't know many words at that time, and my eldest sister taught me to read them to me.

"Ducks swimming on the water, roosters whining", I still remember those pictures and phonetic text.

At that time, it was strange, was the world of books also an idyllic picture of life? The big rooster in the yard has to "oh-oh" every day, but when it is written into the book, it is so fresh and clear.

Inexplicably, there was a feeling in my heart. This kind of childhood reading has been with me to this day.

It was the 1970s, and I was born in a small mountain village in the Great Northwest, and because of my poor family, there were very few books to read. At that time, there were many children in the family, and our parents were busy with farm work all day, barely allowing us to eat and wear warm, of course, they would not buy us any books or recommend any books to read.

It is not easy for rural children to be able to go to school. My parents were enlightened in those days, exhausted and exhausted, but desperately trying to provide for our education.

At that time, I often opened the textbooks that my brothers and sisters had read, and all I could read was some superficial stories. Gradually, I learned that there are not only idyllic pictures of life in the book, but also intricate entanglements.

Later, with the increase of age and the improvement of people's living standards year by year, I could see more books and began to read my favorite literary works - Qiong Yao's romance and Jin Yong's martial arts.

For a while, I was immersed in the atmosphere of love and hatred created in the book, and I almost melted myself into it.

Later, I found classic works, the four masterpieces of China, and the world's masterpieces, and from these books I read the stories behind the stories and saw the development and changes of history; See politics, economics, culture; I saw human nature and the fate of man.

So, I began to read one book after another.

I remember reading Roman Rowland's "John Christopher" during the period after graduating from high school, and I was often encouraged by the fighting spirit of the protagonist John Christopher, encountered difficulties in life, and completely encouraged myself with this spirit. Thanks to this book, it resolved the confusion of that time in time.

On the afternoon of April 15, 2019, a fire broke out at Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris, France, and the entire building was seriously damaged. I suddenly remembered that when I read "Notre Dame de Paris", I was particularly annoyed by the author's description of the "exquisite carving" of the architecture of Notre Dame de Paris, and even skipped the reading of those descriptions; But when I read it a second time a few years later, I fell in love with these descriptions, and in a pleasant reading, I came up with this beautiful building in my mind.

I think that in this fire reconstruction of Notre Dame Cathedral, the work "Notre Dame de Paris" must be able to play a role that the world did not expect.

With the increase in the amount of reading, I gradually not only moved by the plot, but also liked the language in the book. Reading the short stories of Mobsan and Chekhov, I was deeply fascinated by the condensed language and vivid descriptions of the authors.

Later, I fell in love with history, philosophy, aesthetics, and psychology. Read the Analects, read Lao Tzu, read the Book of Poetry, read the Spring and Autumn Period, and read ancient Chinese classics; Also read Marx, read Hegel, read Mao Zedong and Deng Xiaoping, and read contemporary political economy books. When you read these books and look at literary works, you will consciously or unconsciously see these ideas from the literary works. Therefore, I was moved by the profound knowledge and profound thinking of the writer.

Sometimes I will solve the things I can't understand in my life with the theories I learned in the book, and it turns out that the blocks in my heart are instantly dissolved.

Life is very realistic, and the world of the mind can be colorful. This richness comes from books. I deeply feel that reading books can enrich a person to the greatest extent, and reading books will also make people open-minded and learn to be optimistic and open-minded.

This optimism and open-mindedness will also be integrated into daily work and life. In the process of reading unceasingly, I gradually have a relatively thorough view of things.

Reading books may not change anything, but it must be able to change your thinking and mentality, and you can treat things objectively and calmly.

Looking into the distance, the heavens and the earth are infinite; Think big and be open-minded. The reason why I face life so calmly is because of the influence of books.

Reading good books and reading classic books allows us to experience thousands of kinds of life, so we have more choices, more reasons and goals to strive, a more positive and optimistic attitude towards life, and more understanding and feelings of happiness and happiness.
