It's finally time to do something to humans! Musk Brain-Computer Interface is preparing to launch clinical trials

Neuralink, a brain chip startup for SpaceX and Tesla CEO Elon Musk, is preparing to launch human clinical trials to implant brain chips into the human body.

According to Neuralink, its goal is to build "brain-computer interfaces" that allow information to be transmitted wirelessly between the brain and the computer.

According to the Guardian, Musk promised that neuralink technology "will enable paralyzed people to use smartphones faster than people who use their thumbs normally."

According to the Daily Mail, the company is hiring a clinical trial supervisor who will "work closely with some of the most innovative doctors and top engineers and work with Neuralink's first clinical trial participants."

"This position will lead and help build teams responsible for supporting Neuralink's clinical research activities and regulating interactions in a fast-paced and evolving environment."

Neuralink has successfully implanted it in pigs and monkeys. The new video from Neuralink claims that the monkey is playing Pong with its brain.

According to the report, at the Wall Street Journal's CEO Council Summit, Musk said: "We hope that our first applicable population will be people with severe spinal cord injuries, such as quadriplegia, etc., which are currently awaiting FDA (Food and Drug Administration) approval." He added: "I think we have an opportunity to restore whole-body function to patients with spinal cord injury through Neuralink." Neuralink works well on monkeys, and we actually do a lot of testing just to make sure it's very safe and reliable and that the Neuralink device can be safely removed. ”

The project aims to overcome the barriers of ARTIFICIAL intelligence by providing a direct connection between the brain and the computer. This will stitch the implanted brain chip by using a "sewing machine-like" device. After this, neurons in the brain produce electrical signals that are placed near neurons and electrodes can capture and record these signals. These signals can be replayed to simulate the actual feel of different experiences.

Musk co-founded Neuralink in Silicon Valley in 2016. In February 2021, Neuralink successfully implanted a chip into a monkey so that it could play video games with its brain. In July, Neuralink raised $205 million to develop technology to help paralyzed people use electronic devices. Musk has said his brain-computer interface technology startup Neuralink is in close communication with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). If all goes well, preliminary human trials could be conducted later in 2021.
