Born in Shanghai in 1958, Qian Gang is not good at words, but has a keen insight and a unique interpretation of everything in nature. In Qian Gang's independent thinking and observational inner character, art allows him to show a free and outward heart. He uses subtle colors to outline everything in nature that touches his heart, creating an abstract and poetic new world in which human beings and nature are integrated. This exhibition exhibits 45 oil paintings and 6 acrylic works of Qian Gang, covering his creative process of more than ten years since returning to Shanghai, and the audience can see Qian Gang's world through this "garden" - a surreal world full of infinite imagination, but also a fictional world of romantic dreams.

Curator Xie Dingwei believes that Qian Gang's painting world contains a deep virtual universe, he pays attention to the relationship between reality and fiction, and there is a strong drama behind the refined symbolist works. Whether it is early black-and-white prints or surrealist paintings of flowers and birds, the viewer can feel the narrative relationship contained in this figurative thing. The colorful flowers and the variety of birds and animals are dazzling, as if there is a dreamlike thrill of falling into a mysterious garden. The colors he uses and the objects he depicts are magnificent, colorful, feminine, and intense, amazing and fascinating. His pictures are sometimes bright and dazzling, making people feel like a spring breeze, and sometimes the background is gray and dark, setting off the brilliance of the flowers, giving people a bright and enchanting feeling.

The exhibition is hosted by Shanghai Tianxie Culture and will last until July 20. (Xinmin Evening News reporter Le Mengrong)
