Track trial skating is the first critical step before the safe and orderly start of the Beijing Winter Olympics snowmobile race. At 1:30 p.m. on the 24th, Romanian snowmobile helmsman Dolin and partner Emmuel set off on a cart, and then completed the entire track.
Track trials are scheduled before the official Olympics matches, with the aim of allowing participants to identify potential problems. Two Romanian skaters after the test said: "The track test work is very important. Through our trial skating, we can provide first-hand feedback to track workers and operators, and if a problem is found in some place on the track, the operators can repair it in time to create the best conditions for the participants. ”
The Beijing Winter Olympics snowmobile race has a total of 4 wheels of skating, and according to the regulations, up to 5 trial skates will be arranged before each round of skating starts.
Yesterday afternoon, two tandem snowmobiles were arranged for a trial, with skaters from Romania and Latvia, both professional snowmobiles who participated in the Winter Olympics. Since this was also the first time they had experienced the bobsleigh center track in the Yanqing area of the Beijing Winter Olympics, several trial skaters also excitedly took photos before work.
After completing 3 taxis, the test skaters felt that the snowmobile track in Yanqing was not difficult, and then they had to discuss with the helmsman to understand how they felt in the trial skating, and then submit everyone's suggestions to the Bobsleigh Center Venue Operation Team.
From yesterday to January 27th, the National Bobsleigh Venue has specially arranged 4 days for the test skaters to test the skating, so that the relevant parties can enter their respective working states as soon as possible to ensure that the various event facilities are foolproof during the race.
