IT House news on January 22, according to the latest GDC gaming industry status report, most developers do not care about the NFT digital collection or cryptocurrency, which is thankful.
Over the past year, we've seen publishers and developers large and small test the waters in the polarized NFT market. While Square Enix claims that we're just in "NFT: first year," most developers at GDC remain skeptical about this new technology that wastes unnecessarily wasted capabilities.

In their survey, which asked more than 2,700 game developers about their work and the industry as a whole, GDC showed that 70 percent of developers were not interested in NFTs at all, and 72 percent were not interested in cryptocurrencies as a payment tool. Only 1% of developers say their studios are already using NFT or cryptocurrency technology.
In the report, most developers continue to question criticism of NFTs and cryptocurrencies, saying, "I think this is a technology that is still looking for a target." People will be interested in it and use it as a gamble to make money, but the public demand for it is not enough to make it an actual currency. ”
"How could this not have been recognized as an illegal pyramid scheme?" Another developer said. Another developer said they "don't want to put in the effort to confirm that someone owns a jpeg." ”
So far, it's unclear where NFTs will go in the future of gaming. On the one hand, Ubisoft seems to be committed to their Quartz platform, despite its poor sales record, and on the other hand, the GSC game world, in response to the gaming community, was quick to strip NFT-related stuff from S.T.A.L.K.E.R.2.
