International Online News (Reporter Ma Xiaoye): On January 24, the Cross-Straits, Hong Kong and Macao Youth Badminton Invitational Tournament was held in Chongqing, with 36 young badminton players from Chongqing Municipality, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macao participating.
The theme of this competition is "Welcoming the Winter Olympics, Facing the Future", which is one of the offline activities of the 28th Taiwan Compatriots Youth Winter Camp organized by the All-China Federation of Taiwan Compatriots in 2022, with the purpose of building a platform for exchanging skills, exchanging experience and deepening friendship with each other through the badminton friendly matches between young badminton enthusiasts in Chongqing, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macao, and using practical actions to help cheer for the Beijing Winter Olympics.
The event was guided by the All-China Taiwan Compatriots Association, and sponsored by the Chongqing Overseas Friendship Association and the Chongqing Taiwan Compatriots Association. The competition adopts the pairing combination of Chongqing players and Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macao players to compete in the men's doubles, women's doubles and mixed doubles competitions, and finally determines the top 3 according to the results of each team.
It is understood that on the opening day of the tournament, the online opening ceremony of the 28th All-China Federation of Taiwan Compatriots Youth Winter Camp was also held, and cadres of the Chongqing Municipal Federation of Taiwan Compatriots and some representatives of Taiwan youth participated in the "Welcoming the Winter Olympics New Economic Study Camp" of the All-China Federation of Taiwan Compatriots through online live broadcasts, online visits, online interactive questions and answers, etc., in order to promote the understanding and cognition of Taiwan youth on the achievements of the mainland's economic and social construction.
