The 207 edition of the UFC Fighting Night, which will be held on April 24, Beijing time, has added a high-profile women's duel, both young rising stars, Messi Barber vs. Montana de la Rosa.
Messi Barber (9-2, 5 K, 2 S) is 23 years old and has a height of 165cm arm span of 165cm. He began his professional MMA career in 2017, won the third round of the White Dana Draft TKO in 2018, joined the UFC with a (5-0) result in the same year, and has achieved a (4-2) result in the UFC so far. Playing a three-game winning streak at the UFC was the end of the TKO, but unfortunately lost to Roxanne Modafferi in January 2020 and lost to Alexa Grasso in February last year, just after a disagreement victory over Miranda Maverick in July. Barber is currently ranked 13th in the UFC's official rankings in the Women's Flyweight.
Montana de la Rosa (12-6,0 K,8 S) is 26 years old and has a height of 170cm and an arm span of 173cm. He began his professional MMA career in 2014 and entered the UFC tournament with a (7-4) result in the TUF Ultimate Fighter Selection in 2017, ending his winning streak with Andrea Lee in June 2019 after winning three consecutive victories at the UFC. In 2020, he won 1 and lost 1, winning mara Romero Borella on points and losing to Viviane Araujo. Drawn with Mayra Bueno Silva last February, TKO Ariane Lipski was just in the second set in June.
The tournament also featured China's Ao Riqileng (18-9, 5 K, 2 S) against Britain's Cameron Ayres (10-5, 6 K, 4 S). Former UFC women's straw welt champion Jessica Andrad (22-9, 9 K, 7 S) against Amanda Lemos (11-1-1, 7 K, 2 S). American veteran Clay Guida (37-21, 7 K, 14 S) against Peruvian rookie Claudio Pués (11-2, 2 K, 6 S).
