As usual, it is necessary to find out the origin of the flower name. The name "Village Priest" comes from James Woodford's diary, The Village Priest's Diary.

James Woodforde (1740–1803) was a schoolmaster who attended Oxford University, where he received a Doctor of Letters and served as Associate Dean of Oxford University. The main identity of his life was a village priest, he did not make special achievements in academics, but he had a good habit that posterity remembered: that is, to write a diary.

Woodford wrote a diary for 43 years. He never married, and his country life was rather uneventful, so most of these diaries were trivial, such as detailing what dishes were eaten at each meal. But Woodford's enjoyment of life and his observationality led to a nuanced account of 18th-century English country life.

The diary was not published until the 20th century and became an international bestseller. Opinions about the book vary: some critics can't understand why it's selling well, arguing that it's "nothing more than a running book"; they even label him "a single pure foodie". The most bizarre thing is that because the diary is too detailed, there are also attempts to use psychoanalytic methods to find out why he has not been married, and the purpose of writing these 68 diaries.

Since we explored the story behind Austin's moontime flower name, we have learned a lot of literature, but this one is really very, very special.

"Silas Manan" is derived from the male protagonist of George Eliot's classic novel The Legend of Manan the Weaver.

George Eliot (1819–1880) was one of the most influential novelists in 19th-century English literature. Her original name was Mary Ann Evans, and George Eliot was her pen name.

The Biography of Manan the Weaver tells the story of a weaver's life. Silas Manan was framed by his friends and forced to leave his hometown after being abandoned by his fiancée. He no longer believed in religion, weaving cloth every day and living alone. Fifteen years later, one day, his gold coins were suddenly stolen. When all thoughts were gone, a woman outside the house froze to death, and her baby girl climbed into Manan's house, and Manan adopted her and named her Abby. Abby added a lot of fun to Manan's life, and the stolen gold coins were recovered. Manan realizes that Abby is a gift from God, and he begins a normal life again.

"Tottering-By-Gently" is the author's fictional name of a village in North Pimshire, and I have not seen a good translation, so I will not translate it for the time being.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
There is an ancient poem written well: "The medicinal properties are not familiar with the diseases of the cause, and the flower name is habitually known as the yinduo." "I help flower friends explore more stories after the flower names, and from then on, even the obscure flower names are no longer difficult to remember."
