Hosei University is a prestigious private university located in Tokyo. Global Business Program (GBP)
The Global Business Plan (GBP) is a newly designed project that began implementation in September 2016 as part of hosei University's Faculty of Business Administration. The aim of the project is to develop and manage the human resources of a global enterprise – often referred to as the "Asian Century". Students in this program will have active interactions with fellow students from different countries and cultures, which will improve their understanding of global business management and encourage them to actively participate in learning activities. In addition, this will also become the best program to learn Japanese management style and Japanese craftsmanship spirit.
An essential element of global business management is the development of English communication skills. Therefore, the teaching will be conducted entirely in English. Students in the GBP program will receive extensive knowledge and theoretical training to complete progression from basic to expert level, an indispensable course for participation in the global business environment. In addition, the GBP program includes company visits, internships, and sharing of experiences from guest lecturers with business management experience in its courses. Through these systematic educations, GBP students will be able to combine business management theory with practical practice.

GBP offers an opportunity to gain an in-depth understanding of Japanese business management, which is the foundation for global business success. GBP students can attend language training courses to improve their Japanese and English communication skills. In addition, students can take part in a separate open course called SCOPE, which is taught in English at the Institute of Sustainability.
Students who earn the required credits and reach proficiency in the GBP program will earn a Bachelor of Arts (Business Administration) degree, and students must have basic foreign language skills (including English) as well as fundamental knowledge of business administration and related fields such as economics and information technology.
Students gain a wide range of cultural knowledge in other academic fields, enabling them to interact with and respect different people and actively contribute to society and others. In addition to the general degree-granting policy described above, other requirements for students in the Global Business Program include: the ability to acquire expertise in Japanese and international management, to understand different cultures, and to be able to conduct business in English.
