Pogba: Ali is my hero and I want to steer people to change on the positive side

Manchester United midfielder Pogba was interviewed on the club's official website today about his idol boxer Ali.

Who is your hero?

Boxer Ali. I think he's the one who saves people. Heroes can save people, they can help others, and I think that's what he does. He saved a lot of people, but not by saving people from the fire this way, he would send positive signals, help the world, the truth is hard to tell when he will say, once black life is not good. He spoke up for black people and helped us gain the freedom we have now.

Whether his achievements in the boxing ring make him more special

That's why he became a hero and a legend. Obviously, as you can imagine, it was so bad that my family would tell me about his contributions to black people. He is a legend. And, he's a very inclusive guy and you'll try to learn from him.

I think I see his shadow in you

I hope so, because I want to say that I learned something from him, how to be confident in yourself and be yourself. This is something I can't change. I like to smile, joke, laugh and dance. That's who I am, and I love being myself. He's changed a lot, and so have I, so it's interesting for me to learn about his past, and everyone has their own history, so I'm interested in his history.

How important is such a hero or idol

They may be able to influence 10 children, or the whole world, but 10 or 100 children affect other children and show them, "Look, I have a friend like this, a black friend, an Indian friend, a Chinese friend." "And then it's going to be like that. I want to make people happy, to change to the positive, to follow their dreams. I think that's why I got to this point.
