According to the Turkmenistan State News Agency, on January 18, Turkish President Berdymukhamedov signed a resolution ordering a special session of the People's Committee of the Upper House of Parliament on February 11.

The meeting will be held by video and participants will discuss the country's development plan for the next 30 years.

Until 2020, the Council of People's Commissars has been acting as an advisory representative body, with its members approving the most important constitutional reforms. Following constitutional reform and the transformation of Parliament into a bicameral system, the Council of People's Commissars became the upper house of Parliament, with 56 members, chaired by President Berdymukhamedov.

After the parliamentary reform, the former People's Committee was formally dissolved. But according to the Chronicle Network, the meeting will not only invite 56 full members, but also a number of elders, veterans, heroic mothers and other "outstanding people", that is, all members of the previous generation committee.

The relevant person in charge has been instructed to conduct an explanatory dialogue with the participants to familiarize the meeting process, code of conduct, logistics and daily issues, and to recommend that the elderly use antiperspirants to "eliminate the body odor of the elderly".

The local branches of the Ministry of Labour and Social Security are responsible for providing the corresponding ethnic costumes for the participants of the conference. Travel, accommodation and meal costs are the responsibility of local governments. Medical examinations and coronavirus testing are the responsibility of the local offices of the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry.

Turkish media reported that at this meeting, the Turkish head of state is expected to announce his son Serdar Berdymukhamedov as his successor.

Last February, the Neutral Turkmenistan newspaper published an order from President Berdymukhamedov to create a new position for his son, deputy head of government.

Deutsche Zeitung reported that Serdar Berdymukhamedov, who was 39 at the time, was thought to be likely to take over kurban guli Berdymuhamedov's class (now 64).

Serdar Berdymukhamedov will be responsible for modernizing the state system and improving state governance, as well as digital affairs in the oil-rich country.
