Near the Spring Festival, on January 20, Chengyang District announced the relevant regulations on the ban area for fireworks and firecrackers in its jurisdiction, such as the ban on fire and the places where fireworks are prohibited, and the surrounding areas such as airports, stations, wharves, medical institutions, schools, and kindergartens are all prohibited areas.

According to the Regulations on the Safety Management of Fireworks and Firecrackers, the Regulations on the Administration of Appearance and Environmental Sanitation of Qingdao City and the Regulations on the Prohibition of Fireworks and Firecrackers in Qingdao City, the prohibited areas in Chengyang District are: centered on the chengyang district government station, north to the junction of Chengyang and Jimo, south to the junction of Chengyang and Licang, west to the Ink River, east to National Highway 204 (north of the Chengyang South Junction Interchange) and Qingxin Expressway (south of the Chengyang South Junction Interchange).

Prohibited places include: government offices, airports, stations, docks and other transportation hubs and railway line safety protection areas, medical institutions, schools, kindergartens, rest places for the elderly, building roofs, balconies, stairs, corridors, windows, woodlands, green areas and other key fire prevention areas, inflammable and explosive materials production and storage units, warehouses and bases that reserve combustible and important materials, power transmission and transformation facilities safety protection areas, etc.

Where fireworks and firecrackers are set off in areas or places where the display of fireworks and firecrackers is prohibited, the relevant departments will punish those who illegally produce, sell, transport, carry or mail fireworks and firecrackers in accordance with regulations. Among them, those who violate the "Qingdao Municipal Regulations on Prohibiting the Display of Fireworks and Firecrackers", constitute a violation of the administration of public security or constitute a crime, will be investigated for legal responsibility in accordance with law; those who cause personal injury or property damage to others shall also be compensated according to law.
