Investment banks predict that Tesla will deliver 1.5 million vehicles in 2022

Webmaster's House (ChinaZ.com) Jan. 20: Investment bank and asset manager Piper Sandler believes Tesla's outlook for 2022 is even better after receiving deliveries for the fourth quarter of 2021. The company believes Tesla will be able to deliver more than 1.5 million vehicles this year and will maintain a high market share in the face of fierce competition.

Piper Sandler expects new plants in Texas and Germany to help Tesla meet strong global demand for its cars. The company believes that the momentum shown by Tesla in its fourth-quarter delivery report will continue through 2022. Based on this, Piper Sandler changed its forecast for this year's deliveries, raising it from 1.38 million to 1.53 million. In the four quarters of 2021, Tesla delivered 936172 electric vehicles.

In addition to raising delivery forecasts, the company is also raising margin expectations, citing the growing influence of software, among other factors. Analyst Alexander Porter wrote: "We also pushed up our 2022 margin expectations because of strong sales and increasing software contributions, and we believe Tesla will continue to exceed earnings expectations." ”

Piper Sandler believes Tesla's market share is limited only by the ability of its own factories to produce cars. Analysts are confident that more and more electric vehicles from competing companies are entering the market. The company overweights Tesla stock with a price target of $1,300.
