The completion of the track laying of the entire line of the China-Vietnam International Corridor Mi-Mongolia High-Speed Railway is expected to open within this year

Honghe, Yunnan, 20 Jan (China News Service) -- The Mi (Le) Mongolia (Self) high-speed railway, an important component of the China-Vietnam (South) International Corridor, was completed on 20 January, and was transferred to the joint commissioning and test stage, taking an important step toward the goal of opening operations within this year.

Mimeng high-speed railway is located in the territory of Honghe Hani and Yi Autonomous Prefecture in Yunnan Province, started construction in December 2018, from the South Kunke Zhuan Mile Station in the north, to the south through Kaiyuan City, to the end of Mengzi City, the capital of Honghe Prefecture, the main line is about 107 kilometers long, the new Zhuyuan, Pengpu, Kaiyuan South and Honghe 4 stations, the bridge-tunnel ratio of more than 45%, the design of passenger train speed target value of 250 kilometers per hour, and the China-Vietnam International Passage Kun (Ming) to He (Kou) Railway, is an important railway trunk line connecting the South Kunming Passenger Railway and the Kunhe Railway.

Wang Zhijun, manager of the Mimeng high-speed rail laying branch of China Railway Third Bureau, introduced, "The Mimeng high-speed railway is the first railway in China to use intelligent tractors and bolt tightening robot technology to implement track laying, which effectively reduces labor intensity, reduces the number of employees, and improves the construction quality. At the same time, we also use the single-pillow continuous method for track laying, which can lay a pair of 500 meters long steel rails at a time, and the maximum single-day track laying reaches 4 kilometers. ”

The Mi-Mongolia high-speed railway is expected to be completed and opened to traffic within this year, and will become a convenient passenger transportation channel between the two major urban agglomerations of central Yunnan and southeast Yunnan, benefiting more than 4.6 million people of 11 ethnic groups living in the Red River state, playing a positive role in accelerating the process of urbanization, tourism resource development and rural revitalization along the route, and promoting exchanges and interconnection between China and ASEAN countries.
