Bill was one of the facilitators of the trade for Westbrook last summer

Washington Wizards guard Bradley. Beal appeared to have played a role in the decision to trade Russell Westbrook to the Lakers in the offseason.

ESPN's Brian Windhorst wrote: "Wizards owner Ted Leonsis, general managers Tommy Shepherd and Bill have trust and maintain communication." Beal was part of the decision to trade Westbrook last summer and was the main recruiter to bring in free agent Spencer Dinwiddie, team sources said. Bill and his family developed a close relationship with new teammate Kentavius Caldwell-Pope. ”

As a member of the Wizards, Beal has been the subject of trade rumours for several seasons, but he seems content to stay with the team that selected him with the third pick in 2012. Beal averaged 23.7 points, 4.7 rebounds and 6.4 assists per game for Washington this season.

The Wizards got off to a hot start to the season without Westbrook and then cooled down slightly, and currently have a 23-21 record. Washington has won four of the last six games.

Westbrook has faced a lot of criticism after spending a season in Washington and joining the Lakers in the last offseason. So far, the Lakers have had ups and downs for most of the 2021-22 season, and the current record is 22-22.

The seasoned point guard has averaged 18.6 points, 8.1 rebounds and 7.9 assists for the Lakers this season. Los Angeles continues to weather the storm, Anthony. Davis remains sidelined with injury.

The Lakers have gone 2-3 in their last five games and ended a three-game losing streak in Monday's big win over the Utah Jazz. Los Angeles will host the Indiana Pacers at home on Wednesday.
