Yancoal Australia (03668.HK) produced approximately 16.9 million tonnes of raw coal in the fourth quarter of 2021

On January 20, Yancoal Australia (03668.HK) announced that in the fourth quarter of 2021, raw coal production was 16.9 million tonnes on a 100% baseline, down 1% from the third quarter of 2021; the output of the saleable coal attributable was 9.3 million tonnes, down 6% from the third quarter of 2021; the production and sales volume of the coal mine attributable to it was 9.9 million tonnes, down 5% from the third quarter of 2021; and the average realized coal price was 209 Australian dollars/tonne, up 32% from the third quarter of 2021. The TRIFR was 8.4 for 12 consecutive months, compared to 8.0 at the end of the third quarter of 2021.

In 2021, the output of coal attributable for sale was 36.7 million tonnes, compared to 38.3 million tonnes in 2020, and the coal production of coal attributable to coal was 37.5 million tonnes, compared to 37.9 million tonnes in 2020. Our operating cash cost target ($66 to $68/t, excluding royalties) remains unchanged through the fourth quarter of 2021 and we will report the final figures in our full year 2021 financial results for February.
