According to domestic media reports, Yueda Kia officials said that Kia will further build high-quality products, accelerate the introduction of more competitive global models, gradually stop production of models below 100,000 yuan, and will introduce at least 1 electric vehicle per year. From the current kia domestic sales model, the models below 100,000 yuan include three models: Yipao, Huanchi and Freddy.
Judging from the sales list of the car emperor, Kia Yi's total annual sales volume was 19881 vehicles, and the average monthly sales volume was basically stable at 1600 vehicles; Freddy last year's sales were 15574 vehicles, and the monthly sales were best to reach 2800 vehicles; huanchi's total sales last year were only 5602 vehicles. It can be said that Kia's plan to phase out low-end cars is conducive to brand rebranding, but in fact, Kia's market share in high-end models has not achieved a breakthrough with the introduction of products such as Jiahua, K5 Kaiku's average monthly sales last year were only about 1500 vehicles, and KX5's annual sales were only 3666 vehicles.

In addition, Kia's promotion in the field of electrification is still at a rapid pace. It only has K3 EV and plug-in hybrid versions of K3 and K5, with combined annual sales of less than 800 units. This is still quite a gap compared with first-tier joint venture brands such as Volkswagen, GM and even Toyota.
It is worth mentioning that at last year's Expo, the Kia brand brought a lot of new products, such as the pure electric vehicle EV6, EV6 GT-line, hydrogen fuel emergency rescue vehicle (RHGV), electric vehicle special platform E-GMP and so on.

This year marks Kia's twentieth year in China. According to the latest news, Kia will announce the new shareholding structure and new company name of the joint venture at this year's Beijing Auto Show. Standing at a new starting point, without the "constraints" of former partners, it remains to be seen whether Kia can regain its former style.
