On January 20, the reporter learned from the Inner Mongolia High Road Company that the company has completed the construction of the first charging corridor of the autonomous regional expressway, and a total of 72 charging piles with 18 new charging stations are distributed in 9 pairs of service areas along the G6 Beijing-Tibet Expressway, G7 Beijing-Xin Expressway and G65 Baomao Expressway.

Fast charging pile in the high-speed service area

In order to solve the problem of charging new energy vehicles on the expressway, Inner Mongolia Gaolu Company launched the construction of 18 charging stations in 9 pairs of service areas on September 1, 2021, and achieved the construction goal of putting all into operation on December 10, and the newly added 72 charging piles were all 150KW~180KW DC fast charging piles, and the charging speed was about 50% higher than that of traditional charging piles.

At present, with the G6 Beijing-Tibet Expressway (Beijing section) Baige Service Area charging station as the starting point, all the way to the G6 Beijing-Tibet Expressway (Inner Mongolia section) Wuhai service area, there is an average of one charging station every 150 kilometers, truly achieving "free high-speed, want to go", while forming a complete charging network with the surrounding major provinces and cities beijing, Hebei, Shanxi, providing the necessary guarantee for the promotion of new energy vehicles and green travel in the central and western regions of Inner Mongolia.
