At the Houston World Table Tennis Championships, Lin Gaoyuan and Wang Manyu were originally paired to play mixed doubles. The final mixed doubles quarterfinals was played by Xu Xin/ Liu Shiwen against Xu Yingbin / Liu Weishan. The Xinwen group has won many competitions and won many championships before. Unfortunately, I lost the gold medal at the Tokyo Olympics and only won the silver medal, which is a pity. The fact that they won the gold medal at the National Games is a little comforting. The Xinwen combination is very tacit, an absolute golden combination. This time against Xu Yingbin/Liu Weishan, they won easily 3-1.
The xinwen combination made a 6:1 start in the first set. Xu Yingbin / Liu Weishan scored 2 consecutive points to narrow the point difference. Xinwen also scored 3 consecutive points, and the score came to 9:3. Liu Weishan won the straight line and narrowed the point difference again. The Xinwen duo scored two consecutive points to win the first set 11:4.
