On the evening of 20 January, there were two matches left in the mixed doubles quarterfinals of the WTT Macau Championship, namely Zhao Zihao/Liu Fei vs. Lin Gaoyuan/Wang Manyu, and Xu Yingbin/Liu Weishan vs. Xu Xin/Liu Shiwen.

At the Houston World Table Tennis Championships, Lin Gaoyuan and Wang Manyu were originally paired to play mixed doubles. Later, it was split apart and formed two new mixed doubles pairs with two American players. This time, the two can finally form a mixed doubles to compete. The two also played at a high level, defeating Zhao Zihao/Liu Fei 3-1 to advance to the mixed doubles quarterfinals. The scores were 11:3, 11:6, 4:11, 11:4 in the fourth inning. The two sides did not have too much temptation, and it was almost choppy, and the game was quickly over.

The final mixed doubles quarterfinals was played by Xu Xin/ Liu Shiwen against Xu Yingbin / Liu Weishan. The Xinwen group has won many competitions and won many championships before. Unfortunately, I lost the gold medal at the Tokyo Olympics and only won the silver medal, which is a pity. The fact that they won the gold medal at the National Games is a little comforting. The Xinwen combination is very tacit, an absolute golden combination. This time against Xu Yingbin/Liu Weishan, they won easily 3-1.

The xinwen combination made a 6:1 start in the first set. Xu Yingbin / Liu Weishan scored 2 consecutive points to narrow the point difference. Xinwen also scored 3 consecutive points, and the score came to 9:3. Liu Weishan won the straight line and narrowed the point difference again. The Xinwen duo scored two consecutive points to win the first set 11:4.
