As one of the five ancient Buddhas of Thai Buddhism, Chongdi is the shortest type of five ancient Buddhas, with a history of less than two hundred years, from Azandovara Kang Chongdi to the current hundred flowers, which is currently the most smooth type of Dharma lineage. Today we will summarize the inheritance of the Chongdi Buddha.
1. Azando and Chongdi Buddha
When it comes to the lineage and development of the Buddha, it is first necessary to understand the life of Azando and the three temples related to him, Varakon, Khun Phu and Vaj Chaiyo. A brief timeline of this real Thai monk:
From 2338 to 2348, he studied Buddhism with ZhaoKunrong.
From 2348 to 2350, he studied Buddhism with Varakham's first abbot, Master Lung Po Na.
From 2351 to 2359, he studied Buddhism with the monk Shankarassu.
From 2360 to 2395 in the Buddhist calendar, yun traveled to the four directions to practice the Fa.
Around 2382, he began to make a unique Buddha-like Buddha card, which was later called Chongdi.
He returned to Valakon from 2395 to 2415 and served as abbot.
In 2395, he was enthroned as Zhaokun.
In 2397, he was enthroned as Chongdi.
In 2407, he was made a monk.
In 2411, he presided over the enthronement ceremony of the Fifth Emperor, and in 2415, he built the Bang Khun Phuong Temple, and 15 days after the completion of this Buddhist temple, Azando died and completed his 75-year monastic career.
Azando is associated with three temples: Valakon, Wabang Khun Phu and Vaj Chaiyo.
2. Inheritance
1. Dragon Po Biran is Azando's apprentice. In 2413, when he was 84 years old, Azando handed the abbot's stick to his eldest disciple.
