Atletico Madrid travelled to San Sebastian to challenge Real Sociedad. In the 15th minute of the first half, Carrasco's shot popped up on the frame of the goal, missing a great opportunity to open the scoring for Atletico. In the 33rd minute, Januzai jumped up from the edge of the penalty area and sent Saldua's cross into the net to give Real Sociedad a 1-0 lead.
At the beginning of the second half, Atletico Felipe was forced to receive a return pass from his teammate, conceded the ball at the back, Andelos took the ball and went to the meeting with a single knife, pushing it into the net from the edge of the box. The two sides have since failed to score, with Real Sociedad holding the score 2-0 until the end of the game to advance to the quarter-finals, while Atletico madrid are out.
Real Sociedad is also the sixth team to advance to the quarter-finals after Mallorca, Vallecano Lightning, Cadiz, Valencia and Real Betis.
