According to the Lanzhou Evening News (Gansu Daily reporter Cui Yaming) the fifth session of the 12th Gansu Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference successfully completed its agenda and closed in Lanzhou on the afternoon of January 19.

Ouyang Jian, chairman of the Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, presided over the meeting and made a speech.

Present at the meeting were Ma Tingli, member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial CPC Committee, director of the United Front Work Department of the Provincial CPC Committee, and deputy secretary of the CPPCC Provincial Committee; Chen Qing, Dewacang, Ma Wenyun, Wang Rui, Guo Chenglu, Kang Guoxi, Shang Xunwu, Jian Jianmin, Guo Tiankang, and Huo Weiping, vice chairmen of the Provincial CPPCC Committee; Yuan Zhanting, member of the PROVINCIAL CPPCC Leading Group; and Wang Jiantai, secretary general of the Provincial CPPCC Committee.

The meeting adopted the resolution of the Fifth Session of the Twelfth CPPCC Gansu Provincial Committee on the Work Report of the Standing Committee; adopted the report of the Proposal Committee of the Twelfth CPPCC Gansu Provincial Committee on the examination of the motions of the Fifth Session of the Twelfth CPPCC Gansu Provincial Committee; and adopted the political resolution of the Fifth Session of the Twelfth GANSU Provincial Committee of the CHINESE People's Political Consultative Conference.

Ouyang Jian pointed out that the Fifth Session of the Twelfth CPPCC Gansu Provincial Committee is an important meeting held in the province to deeply study and implement the spirit of the Sixth Plenary Session of the Nineteenth CENTRAL Committee of the CPC, usher in an important opportunity period to comprehensively accelerate the process of modernization in our province, build a happy and beautiful new Gansu, and constantly create a new situation of enriching the people and rejuvenating long.

During the meeting, Yin Hong, secretary of the provincial party committee and director of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Congress, Ren Zhenhe, deputy secretary of the provincial party committee and governor of the province, and other leading comrades attended the opening and closing meetings, listened to the speeches of the meeting, attended the special discussion meeting, listened to opinions and suggestions, and discussed with the committee members the great plan for the reform and development of our province.
