China has had the reputation of the kingdom of clothing since ancient times, and in the process of long-term history and social development, the human costume culture and the Yangtze River culture in the Yangtze River Basin have also been in step with each other. In order to further implement General Secretary Xi Jinping's proposal to "protect, inherit and carry forward the Yangtze River culture well, continue the historical context, and strengthen cultural self-confidence" to make the public more clearly understand the whole picture of the representative ethnic groups in the Yangtze River Basin and display colorful civilizations, our museum and the Museum of Ethnology of South Central University for Nationalities jointly held the "Homologous Symbiosis 'Clothes' Colorful Exhibition " - Ethnic Costumes in the Yangtze River Basin".
On this basis, in order to improve the public's understanding of this exhibition and vigorously promote the yangtze River culture, the 34th Dahe Lecture Hall of our museum will invite Wang Ruilian, an associate researcher at the Museum of South Central University for Nationalities, to lead the public to understand in an interesting and informative atmosphere that in the development and integration of history and culture in the Yangtze River Basin, national costumes have gradually formed the cultural regional characteristics of the corresponding period, and explored the national styles and symbols formed in the evolution of clothing materials and aesthetic tastes. Show the public a beautiful picture of national history and culture, so that the audience can more deeply interpret this "wordless history book".

Wang Ruilian, Miao, Suining, Hunan, born in October 1964, Bachelor of History of Minzu University of China, Master of History of South Central University for Nationalities, Deputy Research Librarian of The Museum, Director of the Collection Department of the Museum of Ethnology of South Central University for Nationalities, engaged in museum work for more than 30 years, mainly engaged in the preservation and collection and research of cultural relics of southern ethnic groups, has published in "Guizhou Ethnic Studies", "Journal of South Central University for Nationalities", "Guangxi Ethnic Studies", "Ethnic Forum" and other magazines "On the Evolution and Pattern of Miao Costumes". More than 20 papers such as "On the Opportunities and Countermeasures of museums", "On the Relationship between Li Costumes and Their Historical Processes", "Modern Changes of Hainan Li Brocade", "Exploration of Li Brocade Patterns in Hainan Meifu Dialect", etc., participated in the publication of "Dictionary of Chinese Folk Cultural Relics", edited and published "Li Jin Research", "Brief History of the Jing Nationality", "Catalogue of Ethnic Cultural Relics" and other works such as "Ethnology Museum Volume of South Central University for Nationalities", and participated in 4 national and provincial scientific research projects. He has presided over more than 10 museum exhibitions and presided over the collection of more than 300 sets of national cultural relics.
