In order to do a good job in the treatment of traditional Chinese medicine in children with new coronavirus pneumonia in our city and give full play to the role of traditional Chinese medicine, under the guidance of Academician Zhang Boli, combined with the regional characteristics and current climate of Tianjin, the experts of the national and Tianjin new coronavirus pneumonia traditional Chinese medicine prevention and control expert groups jointly studied and formulated this plan.

First, the characteristics of the child's condition

On January 8, 2022, the first case of local child infection with novel coronavirus (Aomi Kerong virus strain) was confirmed in Tianjin, and as of 00:00 on January 16, a total of 78 cases of local children with new crown pneumonia were confirmed. Preliminary observations have found that the disease is mostly mild in clinical practice, a few are ordinary, and no severe or critical cases have been seen. Children may present with dry throat, nasal congestion, or fever, cough, or high fever, no cough, or cough alone. Most of them do not have obvious symptoms of smell, taste abnormalities, chest tightness, wheezing, nausea and vomiting, and diarrhea. A small number of ordinary children may only present with moderate fever or cough clinically; some children with positive nucleic acid tests for the new coronavirus have no obvious symptoms at the beginning, or only dry throat and sore throat, and fever and cough may occur in the later stage. Most of the children have a good mental and psychological state, and some children need special attention and positive psychological intervention after isolation.

Second, the etiology and pathogenesis and basic treatment rules

Chinese medicine believes that the cause of the disease is mostly the evil of wet poison and wind fever, which invades the lung guard, and the clinical mild type is more common to see the lung guard, and the disease can also be the same disease as the guard qi, or the lung and stomach real heat. Ordinary children are mainly wet and hot lung evidence, and wind and heat attack lung evidence can also be seen. The key to its disease mechanism lies in the lungs of the epidemic and the elimination of the lost division. It is advisable to take wind and heat removal, lung and cough, dampness and detoxification as the basic treatment rules.

According to the age, weight and condition of the child, each dose of decoction is 150ml to 300ml, and it is taken warmly 3 to 5 times a day. Children under 5 years of age, the dosage of drugs should be reduced.

For asymptomatic infected patients, in line with the principle of "treating the symptoms first", combined with the child's physique, observe the child's discomfort performance, such as pharyngeal discomfort, dry stool, tongue, pulse and other changes, and actively use traditional Chinese medicine to treat.
