The murder occurred between 1996 and 1998, but did not surface until 2002. At that time, an 18-year-old girl successfully escaped from the couple's hands and reported to the police the murderous cave where she was being held.
The perpetrators were husband and wife, who imprisoned and tortured seven victims, six of whom were relatives, for half a year and had them kill each other. A total of 6 people were brutally killed. Almost all of these bodies were dismembered in the bathroom with kitchen knives and saw blades, and then mashed into the sea with a blender.
Trial records show that before committing the crime, the couple extorted money from the victims and forced them to borrow money for themselves. When they find that there is nothing to gain from the victim, they brutally abuse the victim and eventually kill them.
The male prisoner's name was Matsunagata, and he was 44 years old at the time of the crime. The female prisoner's name is Junko Ogata, 43 years old. After the incident, the Fukuoka Magistrate's Office sentenced the two murderers to death in the first instance.
The day before her death sentence, the murderer Junko Ogata confided in a Japanese reportage.
She said, "Do you ask me about my state of mind?" I will accept the verdict tomorrow, but I seem to be very solid and calm in my heart now. From the very beginning, I knew what kind of punishment I would receive, and there would be no change in the sentencing. At this point, Junko Ogata suddenly covered her mouth with a handkerchief and smiled.
The main culprit in this incident is Matsunagata, the husband of Junko Ogata, and from the surname, it seems that the two are not family. Yes, they are actually lovers. When I was in high school, I was in the same class, and after graduation, I met again, forming this kind of lover relationship called "internal relationship" in Japanese. Matsunaga has been violently controlling Junko Ogata.
Matsunaga originally ran a company that sold futon bedding in the bedroom. Because of the repeated use of fraudulent business laws, In 1992 Matsunagata was wanted by the police for alleged coercion and fraud, and the couple began to live on the run.
They hid everywhere, and there was no peace in all directions. They went around cheating money and then fled everywhere. The world's rare serial killings occurred in an apartment during their escape.
On the pretext of being able to find a way to make a living, Matsunaga imprisoned a man in his 30s and his daughter in the bathroom, restricted their diet, sleep, bowel and urinated, and often electrocuted with an electric baton. In February 1996, the man died of heart failure.
The man's body was dismembered by Junko Ogata and the male daughter, who then threw the fragment into the sea. The man's daughter continued to be held tightly by Matsunaga.
In April 1997, when Matsunaga felt that he would no longer be able to raise funds to flee, he began to target Junko Ogata's family, planning to use the method of "uprooting" to embezzle all the family's property. Junko Ogata's mother's family is a wealthy farmer in Kurume City, owning a large area of land. In Japan, real farmers, that is, real "landlords".
Matsunaga tells her family about Junko Ogata's participation in "killing" and "dismembering corpses", followed by naked threats. Under this threat, Matsunaga demanded at least 63 million yen from Junko Ogata's home.
When all the money was spent, and when Junko Ogata's family could not continue to obtain loans from the financial institutions, Matsunaga imprisoned Junko Ogata, her parents, her sister and his wife, and her sister's son and daughter, leaving the family of 7 living a miserable life under the electric baton.
Most incredibly, Matsunaga brutally ordered them to kill each other after reigning terror on junko Ogata's family. Matsunaga himself did not do it, but specified who was the killer, who was killed, and who went to kill whom. The Junko Ogata family also faithfully carried out Matsunaga's order to kill.
First, Matsunaga ordered Junko Ogata to "electrify" her then 61-year-old father in a Japanese-style room ("Japanese room"), hitting her father's nipples several times with a high-voltage electric baton, and finally causing her father to die on his knees begging for forgiveness.
Next, Matsunaga was very dissatisfied with Junko Ogata's 58-year-old mother, who shouted "Ah, ah", and said grimly, "If this continues, you will hear this kind of cry outside." So Junko Ogata, who had lost her mind, dragged her mother into the bathroom. Matsunaga ordered Junko Ogata's 38-year-old brother-in-law to tie the wire around her mother-in-law's neck, ordered her 33-year-old sister to hold her mother's struggling feet, and finally strangled her mother alive with the wire. Junko Ogata's sister was often subjected to electric shocks from Matsunaga, and her ears were largely inaudible. Matsunaga then said, "Her head has gone bad," and her fate has been decided ever since. Prior to this, Junko Ogata's sister had effectively become Matsunaga's "sex slave", suffering from his sexual abuse every day. Matsunaga, not caring about the possible pregnancy of Junko Ogata's sister, ordered her to be dragged into the bathroom as well, had her 10-year-old daughter press her mother's feet, and had her husband strangle her to death with wires.
Junko Ogata's brother-in-law, who killed two people, had a nervous breakdown and vomited and had diarrhea every day. In order to impose sanctions, Matsunaga asked him to eat his own. Not long after, he also died in the bathroom due to heart failure.
All that was left were a son and a daughter of Junko Ogata's sister. These two lovely children were once taken hostage to control the entire family, but now they have become an obstacle to Matsunaga's evil life. So Matsunaga ordered Junko Ogata's sister's daughter to kill her 5-year-old brother in the kitchen.
Then, Matsunaga repeatedly electrocuted the face of Junko Ogata's sister's daughter with an electric baton, torturing her inhumanely and forcing her to say that she deserved to die. Just like that, after killing her brother in the kitchen, she also lay on the kitchen floor and closed her eyes. Junko Ogata and the daughter of the first male victim tied wires to the sides of her body and electrocuted alive.

The perpetrator Matsunaga Tai (April 28, 1961) was sentenced to death by hanging in captivity in Kitakyushu City, Japan, and was sentenced to death at the first trial by his accomplice Junko Ogata, and on September 26, 2007, the sentence was commuted to life imprisonment in the second instance because of the violent abuse and coercion he was subjected to.
