Beijing News (reporter Guo Tie) On January 20, many places in the mainland ushered in a wide range of rain and snow weather, and Hungry mo launched the corresponding mechanism for extreme cold emergency to ensure the safety of knights and remind merchants to prepare for rest.

Li Jiangtao, general manager of Ele.me North China Logistics, said that under bad weather conditions, Ele.me will increase the delivery time of knights, and cancel overtime, bad evaluations and other assessments, so that knights can rest assured of delivery. If the weather is extremely bad, Hungry will shut down the delivery service in the area to ensure the safety of the knights. On January 18th and 19th, Hungry Mo has carried out road safety knowledge publicity at various stations through morning meetings and fixed-point spot checks, checked cold-proof materials, vehicle batteries, etc., and prepared ginger soup for riders at some stations and love stations to drive away the cold.

Since the beginning of winter, Ele.me has invested tens of millions of yuan to distribute nearly one million pieces of cold protection materials for the active blue knights across the country, including windproof knee pads, handlebar gloves, bibs, etc., while providing more winter running single subsidies for knights. In order to reduce the burden of the peak delivery period, the Ele.me platform optimizes the service of ordering reminders, weather tips, preferential promotion and other services in advance to minimize the pressure of riders to deliver food.

The Public Meteorological Service Center of the China Meteorological Administration has previously joined hands with Ele.me to launch the first rider weather safety protection system. Based on real-time and accurate weather data, we jointly create index products that serve takeaway riders, optimize the delivery routes and delivery time, ensure the safety of distribution in bad weather, and use meteorological data to allocate protective materials in advance and do a good job in bad weather delivery order subsidies.
