Penalties for violating the relevant fireworks and firecrackers

(1) Whoever sets off fireworks and firecrackers at a time or place where the display of fireworks and firecrackers is prohibited shall be fined between 100 and 500 yuan in accordance with the second paragraph of article 42 of the "Regulations on the Safety Management of Fireworks and Firecrackers", which constitutes an act in violation of the administration of public security, and shall be detained for between 10 and 15 days in accordance with article 30 of the "Public Security Administration Punishment Law". If the circumstances are less serious, they shall be detained for 5 to 10 days.

(2) Where minors under the age of 14 or mentally ill persons with no capacity set off fireworks and firecrackers in prohibited areas, their guardians shall be ordered to strictly discipline them. Where there is an act of instigating or deceiving minors or mentally ill persons with no capacity to set off fireworks, the person who instigates or lures the act shall be fined between 100 and 500 yuan in accordance with the second paragraph of article 42 of the "Regulations on the Safety Management of Fireworks and Firecrackers"; If the circumstances are less serious, they shall be detained for 5 to 10 days.
