In 1867, Lu Muzhen was born in a scholarly mendi in Guangzhou, although the family conditions were good, but her parents have always followed the feudal concept of "a woman without talent is moral", did not let her read much books, just knew a few words. However, it has cultivated her into a kind and filial woman who knows how to be a female red and understands etiquette.
When she was seventeen, her parents told her that they had found a good in-law for him and that they would prepare a beautiful wedding for her. Lu Muzhen, who had been meek and virtuous since childhood, did not say much, and nodded obediently.
She didn't know what the man she was going to marry was, but she knew from her parents that his name was Sun Yat-sen.
Sun Yat-sen, who had been educated in Western thought for several years in Honolulu, was studying medicine in Hong Kong. After hearing the news that her parents had booked her in her hometown, he was a little dismissive. But his parents were very satisfied with the girl, and eventually Sun Yat-sen returned home and held a traditional wedding with Lu Muzhen.
Soon after the marriage, Sun Yat-sen left home and went to Hong Kong to work on his Xingzhong meeting, while Lu Muzhen served his in-laws at home and became a typical virtuous wife.
During the period when his father was seriously ill, Sun Yat-sen saw Lu Muzhen busy in front of the sickbed, carefully handling the housework, he was touched, and the relationship between the two people had some improvement.
After the death of his father, Sun Yat-sen threw himself into the revolutionary cause non-stop, and Lu Muzhen continued to stay to take care of the family and relieve his worries.
After the birth of his son Sun Ke, Sun Yat-sen brought their mother and son to live together.
Suffering and co-Chen Cuifen
It was also during this time that a woman broke into Sun Yat-sen's life, and she was Chen Cuifen.
At that time, in order to facilitate his work, Sun Yat-sen opened a Chinese and Western pharmacy, and his friend Chen Shaobai recommended Chen Cuifen, who knew medicine, to him.
Chen Cuifen, like Sun Yat-sen, had a great enthusiasm for serving the country, and soon they sparked love. After Lu Muzhen knew about it, he persuaded Sun Yat-sen to take Chen Cuifen as a concubine and live together.
After this, Chen Cuifen became Sun Yat-sen's revolutionary assistant and co-planned the Guangzhou Uprising.
After the failure of the Guangzhou uprising, the family was separated. Lu Muzhen took her children and family to Honolulu to join Sun Mei, while Sun Yat-sen and Chen Cuifen went to Huizhou.
The "restless" Sun Yat-sen planned several uprisings, and each time Chen Cuifen played a major role, and she could ride a horse and use a gun to fight with the army many times.
During this period, another contribution made by Chen Cuifen was that in Sun Yat-sen's exiled and exiled life, with the gentleness and delicacy of his own women, he cared for him very much, so that he received spiritual support and physical recovery.
Briefly stayed together with Haru Asada
During Sun Yat-sen's anonymized exile in Japan, Chen Cuifen had to take care of his diet and living on the one hand, and on the other hand, he also had to act as his secretary.
At this time, Sun Yat-sen accepted Haru Asada as his assistant. Haru Asada was proficient in Chinese, Japanese, and English Chinese, and could also translate for Sun Yat-sen.
Due to the relationship between work, the two developed a relationship, but it was only a flash in the pan, because Asada Haru died of illness soon after.

The acquaintance of Sun Yat-sen and Da Yue Fu was very accidental.

Sun Yat-sen could not live in Japan for long because he wanted to run for the revolutionary cause. When he went to Europe to seek allies, he left Japan with only Chen Cuifen, and was forced to break off contact with Otsuki.

On January 1912, Sun Yat-sen became the Provisional President of the Republic of China.

Sun Yat-sen did not want Soong Ching Ling to be a concubine and wanted to give her a name, so he wrote to Lu Muzhen to discuss divorce.
